NETS
In: Fontecchio/Duren/2 SRP
Out:Claxton
Nets immersed in a reconstruction and with Claxton looking unmotivated by the losing situation... they get the youngest player with the highest ceiling
They save a lot of money, in the short and long term
PISTONS
In:Claxton
Out:Duren/Fontecchio/2 SRP
The Piston take another step forward, in their reconstruction they obtain a defensive anchor and rim runner who should be a key piece in the long term, along with Cade
thoughts..? who says no? What do you think about the value?

The biggest problem I see the Nets having here is that they are big on three point shooting.
Claxton is much better at the three point line than Duren.
Cutting salary over the next two years and getting a younger player would be attractive for the Nets.
A pick swap involving Detroit's first rounder this year would be attractive as the Knicks, Rockets, and probably the Bucks look to have a better record than Detroit.
While the Nets seem happy to accumulate second rounders this could be an opportunity to consolidate assets with a second rounder going to Detroit and a pick swap coming back.
For what its worth I like this deal as I could see the Nets finding their starting center of the future in the draft this year.

I like it
C isn't really the problem position for DET that we have to address -- both backup PG and starting PF are bigger issues. However, we do have 2 young Cs (Duren and Stewart) that both project to be in the high-level-backup to 5th starter range, and I'd love to nab a defensive anchor for the duration of Cade's second contract.

I do not see this happening unless maybe DET throws in a 1st that can be something to BK.

To call claxton better at the 3 Point line is like i would say Shaq was a better free throw Shooter than big Ben

Of cause He was better at 52 %to 41. But Shaq Had 9,5 free throws per Game and Wallace only 2,5

I saw that and refused to go look and see if I missed where Claxton became a shooter. Lol

I'd do it without reservations, which means it's too good for us.
