Heat/Clippers/Suns

Post#1 » by bgrep14 » Mon Jan 13, 2025 7:08 pm

Suns: Beal, 2031 unprotected 1st, and 4 2nds
Suns: Jimmy Butler

Heat: Butler and Jovic
Heat: Leonard

Clippers: Leonard
Clippers: Beal, Jovic, 2031 unprotected 1st via Suns, and 4 2nds

Heat dump butler and get a comparable player

Suns get butler and keep KD happy

Clippers get an unprotected pick from an aging team with a couple players who still can play and 4 seconds to grab another

Miami hangs up the phone so damned quickly it's not funny. The reason this whole thing started was because Miami didn't want to pay a part time player. And you offer us Kawhi?!?!?!

Because they didn’t want to pay a max extension. Leonard contract is a year shorter and he’s 3 years younger.

And he'll play 60 games over those three seasons! Riley literally came out and told Jimmy that if he wanted his extension he would need to be available! That's what pissed Jimmy off so badly.

There is no way Miami touches Kawhi

It's going to take more than a quasi prospect and a first ages from now for the Clippers to take on Beal and send out Kawhi

At least include Dunn as well

Jovic is a lot more than a quasi prospect. He's been amazing as of late

As high as I was/am (have a couple dozen of his RPAs), I just can't see him being much higher than, say, a BJ Boston, even with a two year gap.

I was thinking KD for Kawhi/picks but they only have one to trade. The problem trading for Kawhi is you never know his true status.
