Does that even take Chicago out of the play in?

Not a fan for Chicago at all as I'm a firm believer that they need to go young and get rid of Lavine, Vuc, Ball and even White. Pat Williams too if possible.

Bringing in Zion, if he can stay on the court, may see us make the play in....we lose our First Round pick if it's outside the Top 10 = BIG NO THANK YOU

I would try to create the value using Coby and whatever else, or at least most of the value… They aren’t good enough after this trade to owe firsts in 27/29.. Chicago really should tank. But their front office and fans don’t seem to want that route.

If NOP is shopping Zion, this feels like a decent offer as Chicago will likely be crashing out in 2027...

Zion only makes sense for the Bulls if the Pelicans are just dumping him.

His body is far too unreliable to give up anything meaningful despite the talent.

Dont think this direction makes sense for Chicago because of their own future 1st round picks, dont know if there is a version of this that works value wise without Bulls picks though.

I like the fit of Zion to Chicago as much as anywhere. It's a risk but they're kind of stuck in the middle which is a good place to take a risk from. It's not NYC but it's one of the bigger cities/markets - if it's big enough for MJ it should be big enough for Zion.

However I don't think Zion's worth taking a risk on unless the price is much lower. Take out the 2 Bulls 1sts and the value is where taking a risk on Zion makes sense (both for Chicago and in terms of overall value for other potential teams). NO has to decide if a low-value deal for Zion is better for them then just riding out Zion.

Zion for a couple firsts? Yeah, that’s not happening. You would have to get super uncomfortable before the Pels would even listen.

Ball, Giddy, White, Port 1st?

Maybe they move White to a 3rd team for a pick?

Yes trade every PG we have, that's the perfect move.

And no Ayo is not a PG.

I wouldn't want to move Coby, but Zion is a point-forward, so Ayo could work at the 1 with the offense running through Zion :dontknow:

I dunno if the Pels would bite without something juicier than that portland pick. Maybe just 1 Chicago pick that could be juicy if all goes wrong, but that would be pennies if Zion gets more serious in Chicago.

I'd quite happily move Coby.

Zion still needs a PG though.

Zion's so questionable all around that I just can't see him bringing in big value. Of course that most likely just means that he's stuck in NO.

As noted elsewhere in this thread, perhaps White is also added outbound for additional value (Alverado back to Chicago could cover some PG depth). Chicago shouldn't be moving any of their own future 1sts as there's a significant chance Zion regularly isn't available/effective and with his contract/role that can lead to high draft picks. For a team in Chicago's place that doesn't seem like a bad backup plan but they need to keep their picks for that to be relevant.

See I can see this bulls FO feeling cornered into making Zion happen since they're not allowed to rebuild. So I can see them dangling 1 FRP for him in the hopes that a lot of his missed games have come from not wanting to be a Pelican.

Nothing reasonable is springing to mind for Coby unless the Magic finally wanted to upgrade on Anthony.

If we could backfill for Robinson and NOLA rated him once he got healthy, I would certainly love to have a White-McBride duo coming off the bench. But we'd need another move lined up to upgrade on Sims.

...if they could get him for Collins and Kessler would Utah have any interest in Ingram?

CHI: Zion
NOLA: Robinson + Collins + Lonzo + CHI FRP + POR FRP + WAS FRP + NYK SRPs/swap
NYK: White + Kessler
UTA: Ingram + Sims

Zion still needs a PG though.

Ayo/Carter/THT
Lavine/Duarte/Terry
PWill/Matas
Zion/Phillips/Craig
Vuc/Smith

Yes, it's thin in the backcourt, but Vuc/Lavine/Zion will handle the ball the most

I'm not saying I'd do it-I hate lazy players. Just saying that's the deal. Great if NO would take PWill over Ball though

None of them are capable of running an offense consistently.

Giddey would be the PG to keep, Ball is only good in the open court and not good in the half court.

You can’t play Goddey and Zion together.
