TOR TRADES: Boucher

LAC TRADES: Tucker, Brown, 2031 #2

Raps swap expirings and pick up a pick for a rebuilding team

Clippers get the talent upgrade to compete now in the west

Yup, makes total sense. Maybe Boucher gets included as a piece in a larger three team trade with the Raptors adding some salary to make it work for the other teams and the pick can be a bit sooner but this is on the money.

I was thinking along the lines of Tucker + Coffey + 2030 2nd + 2031 2nd for Boucher

-Clippers get a younger frontcourt piece who is playing well
-Gets Clippers out of tax while still having rom to sign a VM player to replace Coffey
-Raptors can waive Temple and then Tucker as Mogbo can get more minutes now.

Think it’s Bones so LAC can get under the tax and sign a vet min.

Really doubt it’s Coffey. No idea how LAC feel about Kobe, but would guess they say no to his inclusion for Boucher..

Agree that if TOR trades Boucher to LAC, it will include enough salary to get LAC under the tax, with whatever SRP/cash is considered fair value.

TOR already has the open roster spot to take a second player back, and PJ won't even have to board the plane.
In a no-win argument, the first poster to Let It Go will at least retain some peace of mind

I wouldn't trade the only non swap pick in the cupboard for Boucher, whether FranknCo would, is another story.

But Coffey? C'mon now. Wouldn't move Amir alone for Boucher, let alone add anything.

With the Plethora of point guards the Raps are working through and the fact that Jamal Shead is paid much less, I can’t see Hyland getting any run before the team lets his contract expire. The deal then becomes (from the Raps perspective), Boucher for a 31 Clippers 2nd. For a team owned by Steve Balmer, I just can’t expect them to be that bad so the future pick value shrinks to almost negligible. If We’re doing Chris a solid, then sure, otherwise I’m just as happy watching the longest tenured Raptor stay for another half season.

Think if LAC gets pushed, they’d add their 2030 2nd as well.

Just dont think its necessary.

I don't know much about Brown, but I do think it provides more incentive than just salary filler.
