Jimmy to PHX, Beal to GSW with ORL and MIA

Phoenix out: Bradley Beal, 2031 unprotected 1st round pick to GSW
Phoenix in: Jimmy Butler

WHY FOR PHX? Self explanatory, they want to trade Beal and get Jimmy.

===========================================

Miami out: Jimmy Butler, Alec Burks
Miami in: Andrew Wiggins, KCP

WHY FOR MIA? Trade the Jimmy headache and get back Wiggins/KCP, two players who can fill in solidly in the SF/SG role left by Jimmy.

===========================================

Orlando out: KCP, Cory Joseph, Caleb Houstan
Orlando in: GPII, SloMo, Buddy Hield, Kevon Looney

WHY FOR ORL? Get out from under KCP's contract and break it into smaller pieces. Let GPII and Looney's contracts expire. Kyle Anderson and Buddy may provide the needed 3-pt shooting for an ORL team that's dead last in 3PT%.

===========================================

GSW out: GPII, SloMo, Buddy Hield, Kevon Looney, Andrew Wiggins
GSW in: Bradley Beal, Cory Joseph, Alec Burks, Caleb Houstan, 2031 unprotected 1st round pick from PHX

WHY FOR GSW? Find a step-Splash brother in Beal for Curry's final years and get a potentially valuable 1st round pick from PHX. What's owed to Beal in the next two seasons are about $53m and $57m ($110m total). While Wiggins, Anderson, and Hield are potentially $106m.
Breakdown:
Wiggins is owed about $58m (assuming opt into PO)
Anderson is owed $19m for the next 2 years
Hield is owed $29m if he opts into his 3rd year player option.

So, is it better to pay $106m for that trio or $110m for Beal and a 1st rounder?

Isn’t Wiggins better than Beal

Hard, hard pass from GS. The 2031 pick might be tempting if Steph were 10 years younger, but a pick that doesn't convey until after he's retired is only worth what we could flip it for and Wiggins is a straight up better player than Beal at this point.

Miami is getting a terrible return for Butler, but since most of that "value" is coming from GS anyway, we'd rather just have Butler.

Zero chance Orlando would consider this. They are not looking to "Get out" of KCP's contract.

Golden State is better off just not doing this.

Yeah, no idea why Golden St would want to pay Beal $110 million instead of Butler.

And without at least a 1st and a swap, this makes no sense for Miami.

Just awful for Miami. We've been pretty clear about not wanting salary beyond next season. You give us... Checks notes... ALL THE SALARY! We don't even get players at a position of need. Currently, we have Herro, Jacquez, Robinson, Highsmith, and Burks. How many wings do we need?

I mean, if Miami was willing to get bent over for players they don't need with long-term money just to get rid of Jimmy, Beal would be in South Beach by now
