Suns/Heat/Bucks/4th team

Post#1 » by Crives » Mon Jan 20, 2025 5:34 am

I expect core of butler trade looks something like this

Suns trade: Beal
Suns receive: Butler

Heat trade: Butler
Heat receive: Middleton + Portis

Bucks trade: Middleton + Portis + Pat
Bucks receive Beal

4th team(Detroit?)
Receive Pat + 2nds

Can argue what draft capital gets included and where it goes

Phx gets their guy. Heat get new starting wing and 6th man big with Ware entering starting lineup. Bucks get an upgrade over Middleton

Per spotrac they are 6.5 mil over 2nd apron.

OP has them outgoing 53.6M and incoming 50.3M

Move Pat first in separate deal and they are now under before they go back into the 2nd

You cant aggregate and end up in 2nd apron in the same deal.

Also if they do that they are taking back > 100 percent of outgoing salary which is still illegal

Miami needs more value from PHX. At a minimum the ‘31 FRP and probably another asset. They aren’t eating Middleton’s deal for free.

Yup, that's a pretty massive downgrade for no picks...

The Milwaukee part need to be…

Bucks in Beal, Dunn, PHO 2031 FRP
Bucks out Middleton, Portis, Connaughton, Beauchamp, Wright

… to be legal and consider it. And still Milwaukee tries to cut out the Suns and get Butler themselves.

So the Bucks could have Butler for Middleton and Portis, but instead they add Pat to get lumped with Beal instead? Come on dude, you know this is a laugh.

We're going to demand your 2031 first but yes, I agree, the Suns don't need to be here. Butler makes more sense for Milwaukee than Beal.

Pat Connaughton has a player option for approx $9.5 million next season. The Bucks only have 1 2nd to deal which is their 2031 2nd. It is going to take more than 1 2nd round pick to dump him. End of story

THE BUCKS SHOULD NOT TRADE FOR BEAL AT ALL! As fellow Bucks fans why the heck would we trade Lopez trade to get Beal? Heck if we're actually in on Beal and Lopez is going out hey Heat fans I want K.Ware. Which i think for Heat fans that's a no go.

In my opinion Sun's might be stuck with Beal and Butler wants to go there, but ultimately don't think it happens. I think Butler ends up in Houston. I also think if Suns season doesn't go right they trade Booker and maybe KD if the off-season.

There is only one player on your roster we'd trade Ware for and you're not giving him up.

I think the deal is your 2031 first, Middleton, and Portis to Miami
Butler to Milwaukee
Pat C to a third team

BBall Freak yeap I know if Dame was on the market Ware would come to Cream City.

You're trade is what I think might happen. I wonder if we could throw in a G/F to Miami to get Jovic? AJ Johnson or AJ Green?

Beal is a bad contract no doubt, but he’s no scrub and still a very good player…. I could see the bucks worried about Middleton and looking to upgrade.

I could definitely see them upgrading from Midds - to Butler...
