Bulls /Suns/Houston/Hornets

Post#1 » by Astaluego » Mon Jan 20, 2025 12:56 pm

BULLS
In:G.Williams/Okogie/SRP25(NOP by Hornets)/SRP26(by Houston)/SRP 27(Grizzlies by Houston)
Out:P.Williams/Craig

Do you sell!! they save money in the short and long term..they get a high SRP this year and some small future assets..also Williams contract expires early

SUNS
In:Adams/J.Green/Craig/SRP31(by Houston)/Future SRP(by Hornets)
Out:Nurkic/Allen

Richards/Adams/Plumlee
KD/Craig/Oso
Dunn/Royce
Booker/Green
Tyus/Beal/Morris

They fit better, filling some gaps, while saving a ton of millions (especially in taxes) and adding small assets.

HOUSTON
In:Allen
Out:Adams/SRP 26/31 and SRP 27(by Grizzlies)

You get the elite shots you need...at an affordable price

HORNETS
In:P.Williams/Nurkic
Out:Green/G.Williams/Okogie/SRP 25(by NOP #31)

Williams/Nurkic/Diabate
Bridges/Salaun
P.Williams/Martin/Jeffries
B.Miller/Smith Jr/Curry
L.Ball/Mann/Micic

Hornets begin to outline their team of the future .they add a local boy, good sized 3D wing in the same timeline as Ball/Miller/Mark... a veteran mentor Nurkic to support the young Williams and Diabate.. (In this scenario the FA would go for Lonzo or NAW)

It doesn't seem like a big gain for the Bulls Williams vs Williams is about even and their contracts aren't that far apart. Bulls might as well keep the younger guy rather than wait on Grant's ACL. Okogi is nothing special.

hard pass on anything to do with Patrick Williams. AND we have to eat Nurkic? that's going to take a very nice pick coming back Charlotte's way for all that garbage

Adams is really important for Houston.

Maybe if it was Landale.

Not sure why the Suns are doing this deal at all. Not a good return for Allen.

Why are the Bulls being compensated for getting off a bad long, long term contract?
