Bam Adebayo offerts(only about payments)
Ware is emerging as one of the best rookies of the year (small sample size) but the Heat are even better on the court with Ware than with Bam!!...
So now that you are trying to trade Butler, would you be willing to move Bam (overpaid through) and start a deeper rebuild?..
Probably not.. but we are in a forum of trades and transactions, let's play!!! so what offers would you have? sense?

First, we're not trading Bam. The idea is for the two to play together.
Second, if we were trading Bam, we would be expecting the haul of hauls! Crap tons of draft capital.

Re: Bam Adebayo offerts(only about payments)
I’m realistic about Bam's current ceiling and how it aligns with the team's long-term goals.
Bam is an elite, versatile defender, arguably one of the best in the league but on the offensive end, his role resembles that of Draymond Green.
A facilitator who can make plays but lacks the ability to consistently exploit mismatches or dominate from specific scoring spots. His go-to move is often a fadeaway jumper, even against smaller defenders, which highlights his limitations as a primary or secondary scorer. This isn’t a new issue; it’s been apparent over the last three seasons, especially as he’s asked to score more.
With his $50 million contract kicking in by 27, it’s fair to consider whether his value to the Heat justifies that kind of financial commitment, especially if Ware can step in and can be the defensive anchor at a fraction of the cost
The Heat's biggest need after moving Jimmy is solid two-way wing who can contribute on both ends of the floor
I’m not expecting a haul like the Gobert or Bridges trades. Gobert’s trade value was inflated by his elite rim protection and multiple DPOY awards, and Bridges was on a team-friendly deal when traded (and still is for the upcoming season).
Bam, while an excellent player, doesn’t carry the same trade value with his impending max extension.
Ideal would be to trade with OKC for smth. like Hartenstein + Cason wallace + draft capital

What are you thinking? Would you be happy if one of C.Jonhson/D.Hunter or B.Ingram was Butler's replacement...who do you think would be a better fit?

Re: Bam Adebayo offerts(only about payments)
Cam Johnson is easily the best choice here. His contract is team-friendly, excellent value for his production. He has proven to be an effective player in the playoffs, providing floor-spacing with his reliable shooting. A essential skill when playing alongside someone like Bam. While his defense may not be elite, it’s passable, and his offensive fit with a team that tries to thrive on spacing and ball movement is a good fit. Johnson’s ability to slot into a lineup without demanding the ball would complement the current Heat roster.
De’Andre Hunter is also on a favorable contract and offers a similar skill set, but with more concerns. His defense, while solid in spurts, hasn’t been consistently impactful at the level you’d expect for his archetype. Offensively, he’s more limited than Johnson, with streaky shooting and a tendency to disappear in key stretches. A good second option if available
Brandon Ingram, on the other hand, is a different type of player. He’s the best shot creator of the three and can take over games offensively, but his fit raises some red flags. His playoff resume is underwhelming, and his availability has been inconsistent due to injuries. Additionally, Ingram will likely demand a big contract, and it’s unclear whether his scoring punch would outweigh his limitations in a system that values spacing, defense, and durability. His tendency to rely on midrange-heavy scoring is a major concern

Neither team will go for it and it would require a third team to eat a vet min or two, but who adds in a Bam-OG trade?

New York would definitely have to add. OG is a bad contract at this point.

Can Bam be traded this season?
I have to imagine GS would put their best offer on the table for Bam (Wiggins/young guys/picks), not sure it'd get it done.

Bam is having his worst offensive year since entering the league. Why would the Heat sell now?

IMO Bam should/would return a lot.
Miami should be doing everything they can to convey the first to OKC and open the door for all short term options. Which means keeping Bam at least until the offseason..

I like Bam but I'm honestly not sure the opportunity cost is worth it for OKC here. Hartenstein's been very, very good and Cason's looking like the next defensive guard up, and his contract's going to be important for payroll.
Before this year I would have been all in. Now I'm a lot less on board, especially with how small the team runs generally.

Fox is under contract. Miami has nothing besides Bam of interest as a primary asset in a Fox deal.

Re: Bam Adebayo offerts(only about payments)
Bam is having a terrible year and is generally overpaid (especially on the new deal) for his impact. He is a mostly role player, sometimes star player. That said, he provides something rare which is a center who can effectively switch, which teams will want.
He would be a nice contrast to Sengun, as they are polar opposites as players.
I'd offer:
Sheppard
Jabari
Adams
2025 Pho #1 top 4 protected
2027 Hou #1 top 4 protected (w/ which comes with Brooklyn #1 Swap rights)
