Magic trade -
- Jonathan Issac
- kaldwell-pope

Magic get -
- Bradley Beal
- one of the 3 1st rd pics that suns got

Why ? Get out of the 5 year deal for Issac and I think Beal makes sense in Orlando, goes back home to Florida

Suns trade -
- Bradley Beal
- 3 1st rd pics

Suns get -
- Jimmy Butler

Why ? Get Jimmy butler and I could propose a Nurkic for Jordan Clarkson swap

Heat trade -
- Jimmy Butler
- Terry Rozier

Heat get -
- John Collins
- Colin Sexton
- Kaldwell- Pope

Why ? Make a play offf push, get out butler and Roziers contracts and get some players who fit the culture and can grow with the team !

Utah trades -
- John Collins
- Colin sexton
( possibly Jordan Clarkson for Nurkic swap)

Utah gets-
- Jonathan Issac
- Terry Rozier

Why?
- ( 2 of the 1st rd pics back from pho that they use do the same thing that they just did ) maybe they add these 2 with another pic to a 5th team like the lakers or sixers and get a prime time pic in the future again ?

Magic wouldn't take Beal without losing Suggs, Franz or Paolo due to being WAY over the cap in 2 years. Magic are not looking to win now, but in 2-3 years after their core develops. No shortcuts.

This is the type of deal where I could see MIN including Randle, and getting back John Collins plus, or Jonathan Isaac plus.

Randle is disliked on the board, but he’s certainly productive as a second or third option in MIA.

The original trade doesn't work for Miami. KCP runs a year too long. Take both he and Rozier out and I'm in.

The revision, suggested by scottyg is just so much worse. All the value is gone. Miami fans love the idea of Sexton and Collins (Collins, a bit less now with the emergence of Ware) and I think we'd be good with that as the return, but that revision is barely playable.

Why would the Jazz take Isaac for nothing?

With the way Isaac’s contract is structured I’d much rather hold on to him then bring in Beal on his deal and that pick isn’t good enough for me to change that.

Where are you getting 5y, $125MM? He makes $25MM this season and $59MM over the next four.

he has 60M left, literally half of the beal money and also stretch to 2 more years. There is no comparison really

The audacity to leave the Magic holding the plate of boiled vegetables while Utah takes back 2 of the 3 1sts back... "It's a bold move, Cotton!"

The Beal to Orlando thing is somewhat interesting to me, but as you mentioned, the payroll in 26/27 is concerning once Pablo’s deal kicks in.

Next year they are 8.5mm below the 2nd apron is basically match Beals salary sending out KCP, Anthony, Mo Wagner and Gary Harris. This would leave them with +/- 8mm of room and 12 players on the roster. Factor in their first rd pick and the taxpayer MLE and your set. They also have a few bottom of the roster non guaranteed to open up some more dollars.

26-27 is the challenge, where Palo on 25% max puts them about 50mm below the 2nd apron without Cole Anthony’s option. There are some ways to navigate around this, including being a 2nd apron team for a year and potentially working a long term extension with Beal at a lower number than him accepting his player option. Could see a world where Beal declines his player option to sign a 3 year deal similar to what Kris Middleton signed in Milwaukee, which would give Orlando the room they need to operate below the 2nd apron.

It’s a risk for sure, but it’s intriguing. I think Beals skill set fits very nicely with Orlando’s current roster, and there is only one season where his contract is an issue with the balance of Orlando’s payroll.

This is why the Magic say no.

They can cut Isaac loose after two years while Beal has a player option the following year.

Also, that one first rounder is trash.

Another thing which has greatly helped the Magic this year is having a deep bench. I think they want to be able to keep their bench. They are not looking for starters as much as improving their bench even moreso.
