Are there FOs which absolutely refuse to trade with another team? I've heard that Lakers and Blazers won't deal with each other. There seems to be ample enmity between Ainge and Riley that would make transactions unlikely. (Have they ever made a trade?)

Blazers may have 3 right now:

Blazers and Lakers haven’t traded in over 40 years, and the trades before that were about as minor as can be. That said, the fans are warming up to the idea, and there were rumored negotiations between the franchises this past summer.

Blazers and Heat had animosity about the Lillard situation. I again hope this doesn’t stop a trade if one makes sense.

Blazers and Warriors had issues related to Gary Payton II, in which the Warriors complained to the league office and accused Portland of lying about medical stuff. Some assume this could be a barrier between current administrations.

Clippers have never been involved in a deal with San Ant, interesting. Multiple times with the Lakers, most recently the Bones deal, which was indirect.

Only once directly in LA (Muscala for Zu and Beasley). Once in San Diego (Nater, Scott for Eddie Jordan, Nixon and a 2nd that was Hornacek, which they dealt for Ricky **** Pierce)

Any word on why Blazers and Lakers have heat?

There’s a few teams there who have never traded. Hawks have a few really close buddies I see.

Not all, but it is the first large shift I’ve ever seen in the overall online Blazers community. Many are genuinely upset that Cronin was too firm in his demands in a possible Jerami to Lakers trade.

The only trade ever between Heat and Knicks was Walter McCarty (pick) for Pat Riley (coach).

When I was growing up in St Johns, getting screwed was called “getting Lakered”.

I don’t know the origin of the phrase but I remember it clearly.

It’s pretty much one sided; the pimply freshman who envies the senior with the car and the girls. The senior barely notices the freshman.

Same in Sac. Any Lakers trade would have to be either so minor no one could possibly care or lopsided. Anything in the middle and you’d have to price in pissed off fans. Lose a trade to the Lakers and some fans would dump you for that one act alone.

I didn’t realize that with the Kings, but sure enough, looking at the link above their last trade was 1977.

Unless my aging eyes missed something, the most active trading partners are Atlanta and Detroit. Never would have guessed.

Looks like POR traded with just about every team over the last 5 years or so except LAL and DAL.

Pardon my ignorance: I WAS watching basketball back then, but as a kid I was more of a "name on the front of the jersey over the one on the back" fan, and didn't follow trades too closely. WHAT exactly happened??? because I've seen that on this forum for a while now "x ammount of GLORIOUS years without a Laker trade", SOMETHING had to go bad...

For the Wiz, we love trading with Phoenix (the Beal deal!) and apparently just don't want to deal with Pat Riley and the Heat.
