NOP
In:Hardy/Morris
Out:Theis/J.Green/SRP 2030(ORL has exchange rights)
These teams have done business before and seem to be friends. gets prospect buried in Dallas rotation

MAVS
In:Theis/J.Green/SRP 30
Out:Hardy/Morris

Mavs devastated by injuries, get a couple of veterans who could get minutes right now...nothing spectacular but could be useful

As a Knicks fan, those are two players I would like. Hardy is a good player, but on the Pels I feel he is redundant.
For this package I feel they win value, but lose in fit/need.

Theis for Morris/cash isn't terrible fir a desperate Dallas team. Don't think the Pels should pay for Hardy.

I really like the small move for Dallas.

No idea if Hardy has value or not. I don’t think he should, so I don’t like it for NOP. But maybe some team sees something.

I'd do it as a Mavs fan, but I keep seeing conflicting reports on Hardy's trade eligibility this year.

Trade eligible as of 1/22, I believe. As a second round pick, he is NOT a poison pill provision guy. Only his salary number this year matters in trade both outgoing for Dallas and incoming for a receiving team.

Andrew Nembhard of the Pacers is a similar salary situation.

Pels aren’t trading out picks. We virtually have no seconds as it is. They will be offering Green and Theis for seconds, not giving seconds.

Thanks as always for the knowledge drop

If Dallas could do Exum ( to a 3rd team with Dallas cash)/Morris/25 PHI 2nd and get back both Green and Theis I'm down for that. Would even throw in a bit of cash to the Pels if needed. Would only give cash for Theis alone.

Understood. Big thing with these two is getting out of their salary entirely. I’m not sure what options are out there, but green for a second and Theis for cash, with no money coming back would be the dream IMO. Because we traded four seconds to dump Kira last year, and these are serviceable enough players on minimums, I think we can accomplish that goal but we shall see.
