Washington

Jonas Valanciunas
For
Max Christie, Gabe Vincent, 25 LAL 2nd & 29 UTA 2nd

Poole / Brogdon
Coulibaly / Carrington
Christie / Kispert
Kuzma / George
Sarr / Holmes

Wizards gain some assets for taking on additional salary
Christie has shown off his 3+D as of late & his skillset should transfer nicely anywhere

Utah

Walker Kessler, Patty Mills & 29 UTA 2nd
For
Jonas Valanciunas, 28 IND 1st, 29 LAL 1st & protections removed from 27 LAL 1st

George / Collier
Sexton / Clarkson
Markkannen / Juzang
Collins / Sensabaugh
Valanciunas / Filipowski

If the rumors are true about Utah not being sold on Kessler, this move should top all other offers, and gives them an inexpensive big to help while they develop their other pieces

Indiana

Myles Turner & 28 IND 1st
For
Walker Kessler & Jalen Hood-Shifino

Haliburton / McConnell
Nembhard / Sheppard
Mathurin / Nesmith
Siakam / Toppin
Kessler / Bryant

Pacers lock into a cheaper option at the 5 & avoid free agency with Turner amidst rumors of growing tension over a deal

Los Angeles

Max Christie, Gabe Vincent, Jalen Hood-Shifino, 25 LAL 2nd, 29 LAL 1st & protections removed from 27 LAL 1st to UTA
For
Myles Turner & Patty Mills

Reaves / Milton
Vanderbilt / Reddish
James / Knecht
Davis / Finney-Smith
Turner / Hachimura

Lakers give AD more than he can ask for in a frontcourt partner
Reddish & Vando take on Max & Gabe's defensive assignments, and they can deploy some unique lineups with a lot of size

Nope, we're not giving up Christie, Wizards would be getting a steal with that trade

You would be onto something if you consolidate Christie/Vincent into Rui and cut out the Wizards

In what world is Indy giving up both Turner and a 28 1st for Kessler?
He doesn't fit what the Pacers do.

I don't see the value for Indiana. Turner is better than Kessler, they shouldn't have to give up the first to downgrade even if it results in savings. i.e., the downgrade should pay for the savings.

WAS can probably find a couple of 2nds elsewhere for Val without taking on Vincent’s money.

Strongly disagree.

If a team needs its 5 to be shooting from long range, then Myles has the clear advantage here. He may have been better overall last year, but certainly not this one. he scores 36% more on 76% more scoring opportunities. Turner is far less efficient—he scores 36% more points on 76% more scoring opportunities, despite being a solid threat from deep—and is far weaker on the boards. He's in the 66th percentile of EPM vs 88th for Kessler.

As for the trade, the return is an aggressive one for Kessler. I wouldn't argue the value, but I dislike the direction. And I don't know of anyone connected to or covering the Jazz who thinks that Utah isn't sold on him.

Jazz get their overpay, but it comes at the cost of the Pacers.
More likely just to cut out Indy and do the pick and remove protections for Kessler.

If it were that easy though, I imagine it'd be done.

The rumors about Utah not being sold on Kessler are not true. At best it’s leftovers from the summer and in reality it’s probably other teams GM’s trying to get an asset for less than Ainge is asking for.
