LAKERS trade

Rui Hachimura | Gabe Vincent | Jalen Hood-Shifino
26 1st (top 4 pro) swap with 26 TOR & IND 1sts
28 1st (top 8 pro) swap with 28 TOR 1st

Raptors risk the added salary next year for 2 shots at being better than LA in 26 & 28
They add some size on the wing in Rui who can get buckets & has become a reliable spot up shooter

Lakers risk a few assets for pending free agents, although if LBJ opts out could give them some flexibility again this offseason
This trade sets them up for a run with a dangerous looking squad that can deploy their big 3 with a few combos of defensive menaces

I think there’s a deal to be made between these 2.

It will likely also involve Olynyk and the LAL/LAC ‘25 2nds, instead of the ‘26 1st swap.

Getting a POA defender + a vet big are nice targets for LAL. I almost think it’s:

Brown + Olynyk
for
Hachimura + 2 2nds + salary (Gabe + JHS + ?)

Davion and Boucher go to Denver.
