Since the Suns are over the 2nd apron, they cannot aggregate and need to make multiple trades.
Trade 1: Beal, all three 1st round picks from Utah for Zach LaVine and Jevon Carter
Beal reunites with Billy Donovan and three (albeit weak) 1sts. Suns get more length with LaVine.
Trade 2: Nurkic for Pat Williams
Suns trade a player with no relationship with the coach, Bulls get some salary shaved off.
Trade 3: Ryan Dunn for Talen Horton-Tucker
Bulls get some additional value for taking on Beal.

Suns do neither of these deals and of course the combined version is terrible for them.

Re: PHO-CHI (multiple trades)
Three 1st round picks is a lot to give up for a player who’s essentially just a slightly better Beal. Then you could argue Nurkic is better than Pat Williams, and is paid 50m less. And lastly Dunn is the only skilled young player they have and they probably value him in the realm of 2 mid first round picks. I just can’t see Phoenix having any interest in any of these trades.

Re: PHO-CHI (multiple trades)
On one hand the Bulls are shaving off money taking Nurkic over Williams giving them 3 centers which is dumb because they don't even play Smith enough now. But they forget about fiscal responsibility and spend that savings on Beal who makes even more than Lavine
Can't really see the point in giving up THT who provides a level of toughness nobody else on the team has. The Bulls have Lavine at the SF now with him and Williams gone the either play Ball or Buzelis and Dunn hasn't has much chance to show he can score on the Suns so he's in the prospect category
All that aside, Beal turned thumbs DOWN to going to the Bulls
