Heat-Suns-Kings-Spurs :: one trade to fix this all

Spurs get Fox, Love
Spurs give ZCollins, Barnes, 4xFRPs

Kings get Beal, Burks, 6xFRPs
Kings give Fox, Huerter

Suns get Butler, ZCollins
Suns give Beal, Nurkic, 3x FRPs

Heat get Nurkic, Huerter, Barnes, FRP
Heat give Butler, Love, Burks

This is the general framework, which FRPs should Kings get and which should Suns get.

Spurs get Fox

Obviously this is a deal based on Beal waiving MTC to play with DeMar and Sabonis.
Kings get a bunch of FRPs to load for a trade and they get a replacement for Fox.
Beal, Ellis, DeMar, Murray, Sabonis -- Carter, Monk, Burks, Lyles, Len

Suns get Butler and ZCollins as an upgrade to Nurkic

Heat get guys that expire in 2026 but are otherwise useful rotation pieces, this season and next. They also get an FRP. Which one from the Suns or Spurs do they deserve?

No, are you saying 4 FRPs isn't enough?

If Kings were taking Beal ad losing Fox. What pieces do you think would be worth it for the Kings?

Kings would rather players vs FRPs

Which ones, they get Beal so far. What others? Castle? Sochan?

Are we sure that Kings just don't burn it down to picks and rebuild?

I get the argument. Beal gets a lot of hate but realistically hes 31 years old and can easily still be a 22-5 guy on nearly 50-40-80.

I wouldn't put it past the team to do something like this. Allows them to continue what they've always done and keep 1 foot in 1 foot out.

I still am Castle or bust for now, i'd have doubts moving Fox for anything less. I'd almost prefer to pretend this day never happened, go trade for John Collins, continue building with Christie and hope Fox can't resist that money this summer.

I'm 1000% sure they don't do this. Better or worse, they just won a bunch of games with Monk leading the team (fox missed 3, and then played pretty poorly the next 6 games he came back). Sabonis is putting up MVP style numbers, Demar/Monk are closing games, Keon has taken on a bigger role, Keegan having a fantastic January. 0% chance we blow it up.

Spurs aren't moving Barnes, certainly not as a throw in. 4 picks is also at least one too many. If the Kings want players not picks, then they need to organise a 3 way. I also think the Heat can do better.

Collins is not an upgrade over Nurkic, he is a downgrade, so the Suns respectfully decline.

I can honestly see something like this happening. Heat might want another 1st. I think 6 is too much for Fox.

Heat- Don’t take on salary in 2026 off season
Suns- Get Butler
Spurs- Get Fox
Kings- Get a decent return

Love the idea of Fox/Huerter for Beal.
Heat should get 2 1sts though...

Maybe it would be Beal+Castle

I think Spurs would value the rookie contract guys that are rotation players because they expect to be expensive soon. But maybe that's not Castle. I expect they hold out and give Castle only if Kings don't do the deal without him.

The Spurs aren't moving Castle at all.

You can switch Barnes to Keldon Johnson.

Miami only want the 2 year deals.

Reality is that Spurs are absolutely driving Barnes to the airport in a Fox trade. Barnes is filling space right now and he's replaceable with Keldon himself.

I mean, Barnes is helping them win right now. The Spurs aren't just tossing him into a deal so this can be a 4 team trade. The Spurs don't need a 4 team trade to get Fox.

Why involve the Spurs? Just send Fox to Miami. He and Klutch will have no problems in Miami.

Because Beal + 3 very low 1sts (effectively the value of one 1st) doesn't get Fox, or even that close to Fox. Miami would have to be adding significant value in such a deal. What are they willing to give up, and is it enough for the Kings to care?

I do not think Jimmy has great value, but I do not like this for Miami. Unless it's a juicy pick, it is probably preferable to let Jimmy rot and then walk vs. taking on questionable salary beyond this season like Nurkic.

From the Kings POV, I do not support the "1 foot in, 1 foot out" approach, but depending on the picks, this could be too good to refuse.

I expect the Spurs would rather deal directly with Sacramento on a picks-plus-filler deal than have to include Barnes or increase the price to pay off Miami here.

For the Suns, it's probably fine?

Miami is a first short here as many mentioned. That's just a lot of crappy salary
