I asked in ORL thread but I expect massive bias where "Suggs is the heart and soul", etc...but I'm curious where the general knowledgeable NBA fan sees this.

SAC, I believe, is not looking to rebuild and blow it up by trading Fox, so I'd assume they're looking for more than draft equity.

If ORL made Suggs available for Fox, what would be the "equalizing" pieces ORL would need to add?

I think Suggs, Isaac, and a FRP should be enough. This iteration saves SAC a LOT of money, especially when you consider where Fox's salary is headed (assuming he didn't bolt-which is real). Suggs' big extension kicks in next year at $35m, but then descends significantly each of the remaining 4 years...so he's locked up and at a reasonable price (if you believe in his upside). Isaac's deal is $25m this year, but then plummets to $15m (or less) per for 4 largely non-guaranteed years. I believe this is more than enough to compensate for Isaac's minute limitations because he's still a one man defensive wrecking crew (and Suggs is the equivalent in a smaller package). Isaac next to Sabonis is a perfectly complementary pairing in the frontcourt.

Alternatively, ORL could add Cole Anthony (one more year), Moe Wagner (injured-TO/waive), and Gary Harris (TO) and then add at least 2 frps. This iteration saves SAC a ton of long-term salary, gets additional draft equity and bets on Suggs being a huge get and more than able to hold it down with Monk, DeRozan, and Carter as the primary backcourt ball handlers.

I don't think Suggs is the kind of piece Sacramento would be looking for in a Fox trade. Nothing about his value, but they already have a lot of guards they like.

I think your package is pretty close. I think adding a Huerter for WCJ might help balance Rosters and needs for each team as well. It's one of my more preferred outcomes to be honest.

I don't think OP offer is terrible, but the issue would be the lack of upside in this deal as the 1st rounder they would be getting is going to be a later pick via Orlando or Nuggets.

Spurs for instance have Hawks picks, Spurs picks, a Bulls pick. If I were Kings I would prefer snagging a few of these higher upside picks and a couple of decent players from Spurs rather than mostly just getting Suggs as the only needle mover in the deal.

Suggs/Issac/1st is a great offer value wise, whether the Kings will take it depends on which direction they want to go, I'd take it if I was them...

Sure, get rid of one of your best 3 point shooters for another subpar 3 pt shooter making another max deal. Sounds like perfect roster construction going forward for the Magic.

I really like Suggs. I think if we could involve a 3rd team like Utah it makes a ton of sense. This can't happen till the off-season right? More a reason Kings should probably wait if we don't get the offer we want.

Suggs/Collins to Sac
Huerter to Utah
Fox to Orlando

Picks to Sac/Utah. I'd be okay with that from Sac POV

Are their any legal fox-suggs trade with the poison pill provision on suggs ?

Franz is worth more than Fox, because of position, age, contract, etc. A LOT more, Borderline untradeable I'd say.

WCJ can't be traded this year.

If Sacramento asked for Franz in exchange for Fox, what they would hear is laughter, followed by someone in the background saying "wait I think they're serious," followed by a dial tone.

As an outside observer, I'm not sure I'd value Fox more than Suggs. They're very different players, but I think I'd rather have Suggs on his contract than Fox on his, assuming he'd want an extension that is probably close to the max.

I was wondering if it was just me. If Fox and Suggs had the same contract, I'd be conflicted, but with Suggs contract, I personally would not consider moving him for Fox.

Suggs has his flaws, but he's a 2 way player providing gvalue on both ends, and that declining contract averages a mere 13% of the salary cap over the 5 years. In it's final year, that contract drops to 9.7% of the cap -- equivalent to a NTMLE!! For a player already good enough to be the 3rd best on a good team, that's an absolute steal. In a cap constrained world, he'll provide Orlando with options and flexibility to build around Paolo-Franz-Suggs that will make other teams(*) very jealous

(* except for SAS. They have Wemby, and wouldn't trade situations with anyone)

I might like Suggs more than Fox because of fit for the Spurs, but I do think for the Kings, your initial offer is fair and reasonable, if need be add some 2nds.

I think if you can get Suggs you get Suggs. Him and Monk pair well. Trade other players for other needs.

Losing Suggs and his contract hurt a lot. But they win on talent. Interesting.

Suggs and Davis to Orlando

Fill in vet mins (using Gafford TPE) to make a legal trade seems pretty easy? Not even sure if Sac should ask for additional value honestly.

Monk/Suggs is a pretty great fitting back court. Work on the Demar trade after the season? Hope Murray develops.

Or just Lyles/Fox for Suggs/isaac but like that a lot less for Sac.

Those big contracts to guys who aren't superstars will hurt under the new CBA rules, so if Fox isn't a superstar, he will hold a team back a bit at a maximum salary.

KCP, Anthony, and 5 firsts for Fox sounds about right
