Milwaukee: Jordan Poole
Washington: Khris Middleton
Why for Washington - get off the last year of Poole's contract. Also get a veteran in the locker room
Why for Milwaukee - get a young, more productive, more durable player who fits the mold of Zach LaVine/Brad Beal (offensive over defense) at a cheaper dollar amount.

Don't really like it for either team. Washington isn't in any need of cap space and recent history hasn't provided us with a lot of examples of teams trading assets for cap. Washington already has a handful of veterans (Brogdon, JV, Gill) if that is a role they value. Doubt Milwaukee is interested for a variety of reasons.

I dont think Mil touches this. Poole is a putrid fit with Dame

God Poole and Dane would be 100% unplayable together. That would make the Momta Ellis / Brandon Jennings look like prime Jordan/Pippen by comparison

The Wizards don't need to move off of Poole's salary and they don't need a vet presence. Poole is not desirable at all in the market, but Middleton has even less value.

I disagree Washington doesn't need a veteran presence. But not sure it needs to be Middleton and it probably needs to wait until after the lottery. But if they land a top 3 pick where they feel finally a real foundational piece to build around is here, I would start trying to replace Poole and Kuzma with sounder veterans. Those guys are not the vets you want around kids you care about. Kuzma just went off on a selfish rant this week and then immediately played like absolute crap in the very next game. Poole has had maturity issues for years.
I think this summer we will(well should) see Washington try and start creating an atmosphere for player development. Especially if they land that potential franchise player in the draft. I think looking at Paul and Barnes in San Antonio is a model a team like Washington should be following.
