Ideas to get the Lakers a 5?

They need a center before the deadline now. Another perimeter defender would be nice too.
Jonas Valanciunas comes to mind. Maybe for Vanderbilt and a couple 2nds? That was first idea that came to mind for me.
Or, for Vincent. Then bring reaves off the bench. But then start who at the 2? Reddish?
There’s probably a few big, low-usage defensive type centers that could salary match with either of those contracts. Let me know what comes to mind for yall

They could probably trade Vincent for Jokic and Sabonis if my understanding of the NBA is correct

RW3 should be prime target given their lack of assets

Valanciunas is the obvious answer.

Nurkic, maybe? Something like Kleber and Vando for him?
A lot of their tradeable salaries aren’t really that good. Knecht moves the needle a little but I wouldn’t add him unless it’s a steal.

My guess maxi plus Gabe for a center. Maybe Nuk, Vuc. I would target Draymond personally.

Feel like you need someone heavier you’ll probably have to get through Jokic. Kessler, Poeltl, Nurk etc

the sun's might actually get competitive in a prospective series because of how badly Nick Richards abuses Poeltl every time they match up lol, it's like the one matchup he consistently looks like a god

They could afford Nurk but none of the others I don't think

The Lakers are now fresh out of assets to trade really, so they should be realistic and adjust their radars towards guys like Jokic and Wemby.

The Lakers have a bunch of tradeable contracts plus FRPs left to trade. With a bunch of Centers on the market they can make a strong move.
1) Throw everything at Myles Turner
2) 2nds + filler for Jonas
3) Poetl
4) Capela
It’s a buyers market for Centers and that’s the only position LAL needs. They’re probably gonna win the title.

I think the Lakers get Capela. Luka needs a guy that can play above the rim as a lob threat. Poeltl and Valanciunas don’t really play that way.
