BOSTON
In: Gafford/Marshall/Grimes/FRP prot(by MAVS)
Out:Jrue/Queta/2 SRP

with an economic situation unsustainable, aging and some holes in the front court and very little room for maneuver, due to the 2 apron..trade one of their veterans for depth and youth, you lie and save a ton in taxes..

MAVS
In:Jrue/Queta
Out: Gafford/Marshall/Powell/Grimes/FRP??

Lively/Quetta
AD/O-Max
PJ/Klay
KI/Christie
Jrue/SD

Mavs consolidate, get the best player in the deal, creating an elite defensive team

HORNETS
In:Powell/ 2 SRP(by Celtics)
Out:nothing

he gets the center depth he needs and gets paid for it

Thought? I'm not sure if the Mavs should send the FRP to Boston... how does it balance?

Impossible to discuss tradevalues when mavs is involved now. With all the drugs nico apparently shot up the league should forbid them to do trades at all

I would do it for 1 2nd if it's the WAS 2ND this year Boston owns. I wouldn't bother if it was Celtics 2nds

However Charlotte does not have $4M in cap space now so we'd need to combine it with some other trade, I'm sure something will get done in the end with some Martin, Green, or even a menial Seth or Taj Gibson trade elsewhere

Boston can't aggregate salary

True…they become hard capped if they do. I haven’t checked the math but they would need to be under the second Apron after the trade.

Doesn’t work. Boston doesn’t get under the second Apron so a no go. Add Jaden Springer to the trade and it would work for Boston, but then I don’t think it does for Dallas hard capped at 1st Apron. Maybe Springer has to go to another team that can absorb.

Complicated version gets BOS under 2nd apron, keeps DAL under 1st, keeps ATL and CHA under tax.

BOS in: Gafford, Nance Jr, Curry, DAL 25 1st
BOS out: Jrue, Queta, Tillman, BOS 25 1st

DAL in: Jrue, Queta
DAL out: Gafford, Marshall, Powell, 2025 1st, DEN/PHI 2025 2nd

ATL in: Marshall, Tillman, BOS 25 1st
ATL out: Nance Jr

CHA in: Powell, DEN/PHI 25 2nd
CHA out: Curry

Boston only does for $ reasons, not basketball imo. But, it does invigorate our frontcourt and get a few slots higher in the draft.
Dallas gets Jrue and can use Queta until Lively is back, then as depth. Shed Marshall and Powell
ATL and CHA get picks for trading expirings / eating salary.
ATL gets the first due to Marshall's 2 years / higher $. They'd have to waive someone too. Maybe Zeller - Mavs send $ to cover?

I'd prefer to just keep Jrue, though.
