I’ll offer this idea for
-Lakers to add a guy who can play the 5 who can potentially start by clearing up glut of 4s
-Detroit adds a 4 on ho can compete for starting minutes with Harris

To Los Angeles Lakers
-Isiah Stewart (4 years, $60 million)

To Detroit
-Rui Hachimura (2 years? $35.2 million)

A simple swap as the Pistons move off of long term money and Lakers get a 5 in aftermath of Doncic deal.

Rui has proven he can contribute in a playoff series and play both ends of the court. Stewart has had attitude issues and doesn't seem to still have a 3P shot and is completely unproven.

Lakers need to make a deal, but should do so for someone more proven.

Stewart would been nice to play with AD. Not the right target to be a big minute starter imo.

I don’t think Beef Stew is the right target here - but Rui for a center seems like the next logical Lakers move.

I could see something built around Rui, Wood and Reddish for Clint Capela - Rui likely routed to a 3rd team with a bunch of 2nd going to ATL. This 3 for 1 would leave the Lakers with 13 real contracts on the books and about $1.85mm of space below the 2nd apron to round out the roster.

Throw in a Kleber/2nds for Valancunis swap and LA has two min slots with the below rotation

Luka/Reaves/DFS/Lebron/Capela
Vincent/Kenect/Vando/Valancunis

Lebron likely not playing with a guy that charged at him. Pistons would be foolish to trade the player that gives them their edge.

That sounds pretty good. I think ATL can use Rui, since Jalen is out for the season.

Detroit says no to any variation of this. We’re not looking to get off Stew’s money. We’re not trading him unless it’s as part of a package to get a superstar to pair with Cade.

Agree. Capela should be the target here. Vucevic makes more sense for GSW.

Capela too old. Need a center that protects the rim but isnt useless at perimeter. Vuc sucks, just firget all centers that cant be rimprotectors
