Multiple LAL trades

Trade 1 (TOR)
Rui Hachimura, Christian Wood, 2031 1st
for
Jakob Poeltl

Why for LAL: fill their gaping C position
Why for TOR: get a very volatile first, plus a shooter they’ll no doubt be able to get value for next trade deadline

Trade 2 (ATL):
Dalton Knecht
for
2025 LAL 1st

Why for LAL: get a pick back to use in a later trade (whether it’s their own is beside the point)
Why for ATL: get Knecht for what’s likely to be below the value of where he was drafted, allows them to freely trade Bogdan

Trade 3 (PHI):
Caleb Martin, Eric Gordon
for
Maxi Kleber, 2025 LAL 1st

Why for LAL: get a replacement defender that they lose after trading Christie
Why for PHI: get a first for mostly irrelevant pieces

Do Lakers picks still hold value that far out with Luka and the knowledge that with the big market advantage they will always be able to sign stars in free agency? A 2031 first isn’t as volatile as you claim because that is heart of prime Luka territory. By then he could convince anyone to play with him.

Toronto wouldn't touch that deal. Christian Wood is a far worse Boucher and Rui takes minutes from Walter, Battle, Agbaji. I also don't want his contract going forward. A 2031 first is far too long to wait.

No team should help LA

Does Atlanta really want Knecht with their glut of wings over the power to draft whoever they want (and maybe fill a hole)? Knecht is definetly behind Risacher, Hunter, Daniels, and possibly Vit (Atlanta is high on him and his defense).

Trade 1..
Lakers FRP 31(unpro) to NETS
Houston 25(#27 actualmente)+ Knicks25(#25 actualmente)...

Trade 2...
Maxi Kleber/Woody for Robert Williams/Reath

Trade 3

Hachimura/Knecht/Knicks 25 for Hunter

These all make sense to me honestly.

Toronto could flip rui for more value elsewhere.

Philly may not want to dump Martin, but even if that's the case you can find that trade with multiple other teams

POR is not taking that garbage for RW and Reath.
