Brandon Ingram to Bulls

Ill offer this idea now that the Bulls have moved on from LaVine and perhaps want opportunity to extend Ingram in acquring his Bird Rights to pair with Giddey

To New Orleans
-Lonzo Ball (! year, $21 million)
-Chris Durate (1 year, $5.9 million)
-Julian Philips (3 years, $6.5 million)
-2029 Bulls 1st (lottery protected or extinguished)

To Chicago (waive Green)
-Brandon Ingram (1 year, $36 million)

Why?
-Ball can play minutes at the PG spot given DeJounte Murray is out for the year, Philips replaces Ingram and Durarte replaces Green as the Pelicans get a lottery protected 1st for dealing Ingram Bird Rights. The Pelicans get far enough out of tax apron as well.

-The Bulls look to extend Ingram along with RFA Giddey as they look to re-tool for next year now that they dealt LaVine.

My hope for a team like Chicago is hang-on to long-term picks and assets and completely bottom out. They don't have the stability or good fortune to stay competitive like the Pacers have.

Bottoming out like Detroit did should be the direction. Detroit missed on most of their picks and are still in a good position moving forward.

Ingram is likely to go to Miami, and the Bulls need to waive two players and then decide if they want to tank.

Which can be done if they deal Vucevic for a 2029 1st which could be routed for N.O. for Ingram.

Bulls aren't giving up a pick on a maybe Ingram resigns. But beyond that, you obviously don't watch the Bills play. Lonzo Ball makes a HUGE different in how that team plays, there' something like a 16 point +/- difference when he's on the court. He's a leader on the floor. The Bulls would be better off resigning him for far less money than Ingram and having more to spend at other positions. Julian Phillips is more than a small throw in contract, they actually bought the SRP they used on him so he's on the books for a lot.
