Weird...

They have Sabonis and Len.

Do they think Val is better than Len?

Could at least have move Len in the deal then.

Saving 8+ Million is smart for Washington. My guess is this is going to be more valuable than whatever 1st(s) they would have gotten in a Nurkic swap.

Sacramento is going to be feisty. They can't guard but they have a ton of rim pressure and shooting. Strong Play-In team and the ability to keep continuity for another year or two.

Why shouldn't they? They've made mistakes in the past (taking in Poole, not trading Kuzma soon enough, etc.) but this isn't one of them.

Val is a low-end starter. Len is unplayable.

Yes , nothing wrong picking up assets (however minor) while you are still tanking.

Highlight of this trade, imo, is NOT helping PHX or LAL :D

This feels like a nice win for Sac. They really should be investing in defense, but this is good value IMO.

Washington got more 2nds. Nice ammo if used correctly.

Another win/win imo

Biggest value is this allows the Kings to reduce Sabonis minutes so they don't run him into the ground with the dearth if depth up front.

This part.

As well Sac adds much needed size. Relief for Domas when off the floor. Going big against the couple of really big teams we have trouble with.

Great point. We can hold off PHX and catch LAL for as high as the fifth seed.
