So the Lakers are going for it this year, the last move to make (seemingly) would be to move Maxi Kleber since he is hurt and likely done for the year

11M this year and next

What can Maxi+2nd/swap get the Lakers?

Best player that fits I can think of is Thybulle

Maybe we can unprotect the utah 2027 1st and try and get 1-2 2nds back. Utah pays 1-2 2nds for random chance Lebron is retired and Luka is hurt or opts out and things fall apart. Low odds, but why not do it?

He's high energy player who's good friends with Luka, good on transition can knock down open shots, overrated defensively as POA defender, but can be a good disruptor.

It would have to be next year because Lakers can't take back more salary than Kleber's making, or aggregating salaries for a trade

I think that would depend on how much the Pacers are prepared to pay Turner over the summer. They're the team that needs to be looking over their shoulder after the Mark Williams trade.

I'd be open to trading Thybulle.
It really depends upon what pick is included. It looks like Lakers only have a '25 second rounder left right now.

We cant inclde anyone with Maxi, nobody seems to get this lol

The issue is Thybulle makes 25k over Maxi, so I dont think we can get him

BUT I onc read somethign where teams over 1st apron can get 250k+outgoing salary

Unsure about this, not a CBA expert

But I would do our second rounder and a top 10 protected swap in 2028 (low shot of converting, but why not)

I'd do Thybulle for Kleber + '25 LAL 2nd as a Blazer fan.

Thybulle injured all year and role unclear with all of our wings. We can try to trade Kleber into cap space this summer once he gets healthy. And Blazers don't even have an assured '25 2nd because we traded ours for Caleb Swanigan (RIP).

Maybe they want to keep Maxi...since he is a good friend of Luka and will help in the acclimatization process...also in the off season, he will be more valuable as an expiring contract

We’ll have to see what happens at the draft, but right now, Brooklyn is largely the only cap room team, and they’d have to move Claxton to get Turner to consider them (Turner HATED the twin centers setup in Indy).

I still think Obi into an MLE, or for a smaller contract is very possible this summer. Maybe more, depending on what we see the rest of this season.

Maybe limited options that made sense since you can't aggregate his salary . Really only made sense if you could trade him to get under the first apron at that point

I believe Klebwr has a team option on his deal next season, so he’s effectively trade bait.
