Wolves/Pistons/Bulls

Post#1 » by winforlose » Thu Feb 6, 2025 4:33 pm

Wolves out: Randle/NAW/Det 1st, Utah 2nd
Wolves in: Coby White/THJ/Duren

Bulls out: Coby White/Vuc
Bulls in: Julius Randle, Det 1st

Pistons out: THJ/Duren
Pistons in: Vuc, NAW, Utah 2nd

Why for the Wolves. Duren becomes the C of the future behind Rudy. White helps the guard rotation, and THJ is expiring. Wolves save 9.2 million on the deal.

Why for the Bulls: Randle is expiring now or next year. If next year you can resell him as a 30 million expiring. Turns Coby White and Vuc into a first, which is what Bulls seems to want, and Bulls trade board was talking about.

Why for Pistons, The Utah second will be quite high. NAW would add useful POA defense, and Vuc is playing very well this year.

I am open to suggestions on how to improve this, but remember the deadline is fast approaching.

Big no from Pistons. Wrong direction.

We’re not trading our 21 year old center that has great chemistry with Cade for a 34 year old center in a frantic “win now” panic move.

Agree it's the wrong direction for DET

Wrong direction for MIN as well. Duren is young and studly, but it remains to be seen if he can become a passable defender, and has no business anchoring the D of a team like MIN that was in the Conf Finals last year and wants to return

Trade value of the players in this deal:

White>Duren>>Vuc>NAW>>THJ>Randle

Just looking at what the T-Wolves are sending and getting, there's no way the other teams are getting fair value.

This deal seems to only look at the T-Wolves needs

I’d be open to swapping Duren out for Vuj but it would cost the Bulls first rounders to do so.
