Best NBA Player Available for pick 3

I don't see any team trading Flagg or Harper.

But pick 3 is the earliest pick I envision some team listening on for trade.

Who could be the best NBA player available for trade for pick 3 as the centerpiece?

I can see that. But the Blazers look ready to compete with win-now players. Their top 2 prospects still have big upside so they can expect internal improvements without high lottery additions.

If I were the Hornets, I'd be interested in moving Lamelo for that pick plus expirings / lesser players.

LaMelo would remain to help get the ball to pick 1 or 2.

Trading pick 3 is a buy move.

Help them how? By playing pickup style in the NBA? By not playing defense? By being injured all the time? Removing Lamelo and Miles Bridges may be the best help you can give Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper, Ace Bailey. If you can land one of those with your own pick, and use Lamelo to trade for another, you're set for 10+ years. No brainer to me.

Kings are the kind of team that is more likely to sell on such a pick than to buy.

Nonsense.

Anyways, this post is about trading pick 3 for a win-now player for any team that gets pick 3.

Hornets are slotted 2 right now.

KD for sure, Miles Turner if there's more to it, maybe Trae, Lauri if someone is crazy enough, Zion is a possibility as well

The Blazers are not ready to compete.

There is not an a single all star level player on the roster.

Could see 3 being a pick teams are willing to trade down, but I would assume team trading three would either want a top 10 back or a lotto ticket next year in addition to a quality young player. No one is trading 3 for Durant or any aging star.

Would take Lamelo and at least one future first. Probably 2026 plus another first.

If SAC can get that deal they should take it.

Your answer lets me know you don't have a clue on how the lottery works. You might want to read up on it.

hint: any of the bottom 3 teams has the same chance at any of the top 4 picks, and there's an 86.4% chance the Hornets DON'T pick at 2. In fact, right now it's twice at likely they pick at 5 than at 2. https://www.tankathon.com/pick_odds

It would be highly ironic for the Hornets to win the draft lottery, take Flagg, and then trade LaMelo for the 3rd pick to take Ace Bailey.

That dude is a highly talented black hole that takes a bunch of stupid ass shots. Sound familiar? At least Bailey plays defense, but LaMelo can pass when he wants to.

You and I think that way but what I worry is that Cronin does not, seriously worry
