1. Will Devin Booker be dealt this off-season?
2. Can any team beat a Houston offer?

I think ownership will chicken out and move KD for lesser value than Booker and move him next year after a disastrous season.

Yeah... I think he SHOULD be traded, but WON'T be. Then they'll realize quickly into 2025-26 that they should have.

They will restructure around Booker.
Beal for Smart+Middleton
Durant for Sengun
Smart, Booker, Middleton, Dunn, Sengun

This is a 25-win team. Dunn isn't a starting caliber player, Middleton is completely washed and Smart isn't someone you want playing 25-30 minutes every night, nor can he play those minutes.
Here are the stats of Smart/Middleton/Dunn the past 3 seasons.
Dunn: 6 PPG/0.8 APG/3 RPG, 30% 3P, 43% FG%, -4.7 BPM, .080 FTR (It's hard to find players this low)
Middleton: 115/246 Games, 14/4/5, 1.0 BPM, 58 TS%
Smart: 104/246 Games, 12/3/5 on 41 FG%, 33 3P%

Build around Booker.
Trade KD.
Stuck w Beal.
At best, play-in team in the West for several years.
Bookers best years wasted.

Can't imagine they just hit the reset button like that. I assume they try to salvage some KD value and at least make an attempt to build a team around booker.

A kind of funny spiral for Dallas fans… What needs to go into AD for Booker?
Does Phoenix try AD/KD/Beal with some other decent guys for the end of KD? Does KD stick around to play with AD?

Maybe Gafford and your pick? We could draft a PG then
Interesting though.
KY
Booker
Christie
PJ
Lively
Not a terrible team actually for you guys

Dallas saying they want a defensive first team, only to trade both AD and Gafford for Booker would be hilarious. From Top 5 player, to Top 10 player, to Top 20 player.

My take was the Luka/Booker drama/fun. Just was a random throw away idea.

Why would Washington want to do this exactly?

I think in the offseason they come to Beal about where he wants to go, move Durant, and continue building around Booker... Though I dont see them being much better. Hes good, but needs alot.

Beal may hold more slightly appeal to Washington than your average team just because of the "reunion" angle, but Phoenix would still have to throw some serious incentive to get them to eat Beal's second year

I think their best bet (out of some poor choices) is to deal Booker who has real value to fill the holes in their roster, move Beal into his slot and hope Durant and Beal stay healthy and the other parts mesh well. Durant is still capable of being a lead scorer, Beal (if healthy) is capable of being an adequate 2nd scorer. The risk is health but with so many 1sts already moved it's hard to rebuild and Booker is the only possibility for getting enough back to build around the other two. Beal and Booker share too many similarities to be a good pairing.

Exactly this.
I'd rather trade Booker and have a haul to have a final go at it with Durant/Beal plus the Booker goodies. Then have Durant and Beal's deals end the same yr and rebuild.
We'll just get more stuff for Booker than Durant.
