The Knicks paid 5 FRPs for Mikal Bridges, but it doesn't look like he is fitting into the Knicks system this year. Bridges appeared to play well in Brooklyn, so would Bridges be best staying with the Knicks, or is there another team that you feel that he would be best suited to play for... and what would be his trade value?

Should the Kings be interested in DDR+ 2 FRP..?
If the 76ers keep their pick in the 5/6 range? Oubre+Drummond+Gordon...?

I thinking a neutral contract value player + 2-3 1st round picks sounds about right. I don't think Bridges will be available however.

I think the Knicks are more likely to trade Anunoby or Hart than Bridges - unless your finding away to get all the Knicks outstanding draft capital back from Brooklyn (27 1st unprotected, 28 swap unprotected, 29 1st unprotected, 31 1st unprotected).

It's highly unlikely, but if the Knicks could get control of their draft back it's worth writing off the two 2025 picks they gave up.

I do like the Knicks as a dark horse KD destination but to make the $ work it basically has to be built around OG, not Bridges (unless NYK is willing to send Hart alongside Bridges and Robinson).

Knicks knew Jazz made a very good offer and decided to overpay.

I would love to see him playing for Jazz but not sure what they can offer outside of meh picks and expirings.

I general he is worth filler that includes a decent young player and a couple of late or lotto protected firsts.

I think the Knicks are better off keeping him rather than selling low. If Bridges can't be motivated to play with his buddies in New York two years before becoming an UFA, no GM is going to give much value for him. Seems like a risky move.

I think if I’m the Knicks I’d prefer to trade Anunoby over Bridges being in two starting caliber players instead of one.

But is it 3 months or 6 months for a trade and then a renegotiate/extend is legal?

Even if it’s 6 months, a team could trade for him and go into the season with 15 million in cap space. But if it’s only 3 months, a team could do a lot better than that. And set him up as a bargain contract through the rest of his prime?

Pick CLT for this.. Sat Salaun, 2026 CLT first (ten protected?), 2027 Miami first.. and send Nurk+Green out (need a third team obviously).. that pretty much gets CLT the 15m cap space I think? They can let Okogie go obviously.

NY would be trading at a clear loss if they do shop him IMO. But shouldn’t stop them from recovering what they can.

If that’s all OG costs, hopefully he ends up a Maverick and not KD. I’m not sure Marshall/Martin are that far below DFS/DJJ? Maybe they are.

But those packages don’t seem better to me than… Gafford, Klay, Marshall, 2025 Dallas first. Dump Hukporti on a third team to trigger hard caps at the second apron for both teams.

You do know that part of it was his low cap hit right? Two years at about $24M with bird rights.
His low cap gave them room to get KAT. Sound about a pretty good ideal. It's not like they are paying him Paul George money at
about $52 M for 4 years for a 34 yrs old player. Talk about conned.
