Char wins the lotto and adds Flagg-they decide they want to turn over the team to him and Miller, and move on from Ball (have to dump Bridges somehow too, but should be doable)
Port rolls the dice and decides that they can be a playoff team. A healthy Ball makes them a threat, and gives them a huge lineup
Henderson/Tybulle/RWill/#10 pick for Ball
Port rolls with
Ball/Simons
Sharpe/Simons
Deni/Camara
Camara/Grant
Ayton/Clingan
Need some more guards, but this is a big, talented lineup. If Sharpe breaks out, they could win 50 (and Ball is healthy)
Char starts fresh with
Henderson/Smith
Green/Tybulle/#10 pick
Miller/GWilliams
Flagg/Salaun
MWilliams/Nurkic/RWill
Plus they have some future picks to build around. If WIlliams stays healthy and productive, that is an awesome front line to move forward with

Re: Char Wins Lotto-Ball to Port
Charlotte can get way more for Ball, although i dont really care for him as a person, player, anything despite his huge empty numbers.. Let's be real though, there's zero chance a guy like Ball doesn't force his way to LA or Mia at some point or leave for nothing, while Scoot is still on his first deal.
Portland just needs to trade Simons to make room for Scoot so they can tank properly and develop the young core together. They drafted Dame's replacement to force him to ask for a trade then had him play behind Simons because... They're morons i guess? Either way, we can't trade him until we know how he would be as a starter.
I'm sure people will crap on Simons for a lot of valid reasons but he's a very good scorer and an all time bad defender.
The reason i suggest it is because CHA could have like a Temu splash brothers with him and Ball which would be pretty entertaining imo. I have no idea how to make the salaries work or what CHA would give up for him but I think Salaun maybe because i think the blazers need to go fully young but idk how he's valued.

Re: Char Wins Lotto-Ball to Port
How about...no?
Hornets want to add to Ball not subtract Ball from the Hornets.
Even if we land Dylan Harper we won't be trading our 25-7 PG anytime soon, especially NOT before seeing how he performs with a non-tank roster and with a coach not learning on the job as a rookie coach.
I'm interested in Ayo Dosunmu, however. The rest of the Bulls roster is solid, but Dosunmu is a precise fit as a starter alongside Ball.
I like that he adds rim pressure and serves as a solid secondary playmaker. He also can defend speedy guards at PG, relieving Melo to guard longer, slower guards/wings on the perimeter.
What does Chicago want for expiring-soon-to-be-expensive Ayo in terms of draft capital?
I'd be willing to part with the 1st acquired in the Nurk trade, essentially the less favorable of 2026 Grizz/Magic.

Re: Char Wins Lotto-Ball to Port
As a Blazers fan, I’m hesitant, mostly because of Ball’s injury history. I love his size for a PG, but I think his stats are inflated a bit due to volume rather than efficiency. I don’t think he has any 1 major flaw, but his less than ideal health, less than ideal efficiency, and a bigger contract than what Portland gives up makes me at least hesitant to give up both Scoot and the #10. You change his health history, efficiency, or make his contract a bigger bargain and it is a home run, but as is it is only a maybe from me.

The Hornets F.O. would have to be all the way out on Ball as a core piece to trade him for this and I don't know that they're there yet.

Re: Char Wins Lotto-Ball to Port
It's clearly a gamble (as all trades are, unless it's adding Luka)
Port gets an All Star to lead their young crew. Moving forward they have Ball/Sharpe/Camara/Deni/Clingan, with Simons possibly as long term 6th man
Char would have a Henderson/Flagg/Miller/Williams core to build with. Just adding Flagg would add plenty of buzz next season, and the #10 pick would be the best shooter available. If Henderson keeps develop and Flagg is the real deal-that's an awesome young core

Nobody much thinks so but let's say CHA signs on and you're right that they want/need to move Bridges and PORT is short on guards. So add the Bulls into the trade. They can take Miles Bridges, for the money send the expiring contracts of Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu and Jevon Carter to PORT who in turn sends A Simon to CHA.
PORT gets 3 useful backup guards all on expiring contracts which means they have numerous options going into the 2026-27 season. CHA gets an expiring scoring guard so they can try to keep him or move on from Simon after the season.
The Bulls use some of their expiring contracts to get a quality SF creating a 3 man crew with Buzelis and Williams all there for the long term. While keeping Ball, Giddey, Huerter, probably Jones to man the backcourt. They can then draft the best player on the board and not try to fill a specific position

Pass for POR.
Too much injury risk for the cost. Fine player but not the right player.
Better to find him in the draft.
