Criminals back at the crime scene - DAL/LAL/UTA again

Post#1 » by Mavrelous » Sun Mar 9, 2025 4:17 pm

Mavs send:
Lively, Powell, Hardy, LAL 29 1st
Mavs receive:
Reaves, LAL 30 1st

LAL send:
Reaves, Kleber, LAL 26 1st, LAL 28 1st, LAL 30 1st
LAL receive:
Lively, Sexton, LAL 27 1st, LAL 29n1st

UTA send:
Sexton, LAL 27 1st
UTA recive:
Kleber (waive)
Powell (waive)
Hardy
LAL 26 + 28 1st.

LAL downgrade at guard, adds center for the future, cost is 1 1st.
DAL get a guard to fill for Kyrie, lose their better center, but still have Gafford.
UTA sells Sexton for a 1st, also replace LAL 1st from a year they have 2 1st in to years they have only 1.
Defense wins draft lotteries!

I think an essentially expiring Reaves isn't worth Lively. Mavs can do better.

We need a 26 1st so I don’t hate it.

Fills needs for all three. Well constructed trade.

I disagree. Lively doesn’t have a healthy season so far in the NBA. Reaves is an iron man, and he provides a lot on the offensive end by himself. Lively is yet to be seen how good he is without Luka.
