Who wants Dame?

Post#1 » by JustBuzzin » Mon Mar 10, 2025 2:17 am

I think this off-season Giannis will finally demand out. He's about championships and the Bucks can no longer give him that opportunity. With Giannis gone that likely means a rebuild for Milwaukee.

So what teams could be in play for Dame Dolla?

Orlando, maybe Houston, but both teams would rather have youth.

I can see Dallas shipping Kyrie for Dame to keep their window

I think I would rather have Kyrie over Dame at this point even after the injury.

Which team with assets is better than Milwaukee post-Giannis trade?

Jerami Grant, Simons, and a 1st for Lillard. Blazers will have a better cast around Dame than he had most of his time in Portland.

I’d do that.

If MIL can find a better deal for Lillard for a post GA team, more power to them.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

If Houston traded Sengun+ picks

FVV / Reed / Holiday
Green / Whitmore
Brooks / Eason
Jabari / Amen
Giannis / Adams

That would be great bailout for the Mavs, they keep the contention window and it shouldn't cost a lot...

I can't see us ever being interested in Dame. Giannis for sure, but not Dame.

I don’t think GA is demanding out, and don’t think Milwaukee has any interest in moving him until the last second.. but..

If OKC doesn’t win a title this year, they should consider consolidating right? Their fans would like that I think..

Houston has picks and prospects.

And for fun.. Atlanta could offer Jalen+Dyson and picks. OO/Giannis/Zac/Mann/Trae

Bucks may consider moving Lillard for younger players and extending GA window

Probably not due to age reasons unless they really want a shorter contract.

Agreed. I think Kyrie is better and younger if we are looking at next year and beyond

Dame gets $58M and $63M the next two seasons. He’s a great shooter but past his peak. And not known for his D. That’s a lot of salary, especially under the new CBA.

I always try to see how the Pistons could get involved, but trading away multiple players just to match salary doesn’t seem worth it. Beasley at $6M is looking much more sane at this point.

Or, it you really think Giannis will ask out, deal Giannis and Lopez for Gobert and Randolph plus all the draft capital Minnesota can muster. Milwaukee stays in the playoffs and has draft choices to try to rebuild though without that one great player, Minnesota gets a second NVP candidate without wiping out it's core and becomes an NBA title contender.

Maybe I am minority, but I’d rather stay age 32 and tank next season than go age 35 just to try to get the 6th seed. Especially when 35 makes 12-15 mil more than 32 will make next season..

I would do this for Portland.

Not sure MIL would get many better offers either FWIW.
