Washington out: Marcus Smart, Khris Middleton
Washington in: Bradley Beal, 2026 1st (PHX, top-4 protected), 2029 1st (worse of BOS/MIL from POR)

Washington brings Beal home and gets 2 additional 1st round picks for eating the last year of Beal's enormous contract.

Portland out: Jerami Grant, 2029 1st (worse of BOS/MIL)
Portland in: Khris Middleton

Portland gets out of Grant's contract for what likely ends up being a mediocre pick and opens up more PT for their young guys.

Phoenix out: Bradley Beal, 2026 1st (PHX, top-4 protected)
Phoenix in: Marcus Smart, Jerami Grant

Phoenix turns Beal into 2 pieces that fit their roster better and might actually help them compete for a playoff spot in 25-26. They also get significant salary relief after this year when Smart's deal expires.

Not moving a FRP to go from Grant to Middleton.

Hard no for POR.

I kind of like a beal/1st for smart/poole trade. Maybe swap poole for grant straight up?

No thanks.

Poole and Simons on the same team might be enough to kill my love for the game.

Shows you what I know, I thought Portland was the easiest yes here. A non-lotto pick several years out seems like a pretty small price to pay to get off Grant's deal

I understand the thinking. In my opinion, better to try to rehab his value and move him for smaller contracts. What an idiotic move paying that much for a fashionista.

How about if Portland includes Kris Murray instead of the future 29 1st?

Murray is a toolsy player. He has potential, but has a mental block when he shoots. If he can overcome that, he'd be a decent rotation level player in the league.

Washington would get 2 years to see if they can turn Murray into a player.

Well, I like it for everyone...Suns could look pretty good after the KD trade

PDX is a rebuilding team masquerading as something a little bit better than a rebuilding team and should in no way be using assets to save money.

Let Jody and Cronin pay the stupid money they gave Grant. We need all the swings for talent we can get.

Phoenix traded their 2026 first to Charlotte. And for fun - it would be really impressive if that pick is top 4, since 3 teams have the option to swap it... not impossible, just fun.

If Phoenix is staying under the second apron next season like they should, I like just Beal/2025 Cleveland first/29(worst of Utah/clev/Minn) for Smart/Midds for both sides. If you can manage their minutes and be healthy for one playoff run.

delaying the trade and using Cleveland first as matching salary should be enough to stay over the incoming..

somehow RealGM (https://basketball.realgm.com/nba/draft/future_drafts/detailed) has STILL not updated for the Nurkic trade. Phoenix has sent us their only 2026 1st, worst of their PHX/WAS protected/ORL/MEM.

Phoenix has no FRP's to trade until 2031. They've outright traded away their pick in 2025, 2027, 2029 and 2031. And they've already swapped, at least once, their picks in 2026, 2028 and 2030. And what's funny about this proposal is that Phoenix has ALREADY swapped their 2026 1st with Washington.

Bottom line, Phoenix doesn't have the assets to do any of this stuff.

As previously stated, Blazers are in no position to be giving out 1sts for savings. I’d rather they be taking on negative contracts for firsts.
