Kings/Wolves/Suns

I think all three of these teams need to make some moves this summer.

Suns Out: Durant
Suns In: Randle/Derozan/Shannon/Kings 2nd

Wolves Out: Randle/McDaniels/Shannon
Wolves in: Durant

Kings Out: Derozan, 2nd
Kings In Mcdaniels

The suns are going to have to trade Durant this summer, and this trade gives helps balance the roster, and adds a prospect in Shannon.
Booker
Beal
Derozan
Randle
Richards
Thats a lot of offensive weapons

The wolves get Durant without giving up a ton, this gives them an improved starting lineup with more star power.
Conley
Edwards
Durant
Reid
Gobert

The kings trade offense for defense, and get longer, which is exactly what they need.
Monk
Lavine
Murray
McDaniels
Sabonis

I think the Suns would rather have 24 year old Jaden McDaniels playing the 3 than 35 year old DeRozan.

We heard the Wolves started Durant trade talks at the deadline, but the one player we heard they were excluding was McDaniels. Mathematically, if McDaniels, Ant and Gobert (CBA excluded) were out, it would likely have had to include Naz Reid. As you may recall, Connelly was going to let Naz walk two years ago until Glen Taylor told him to “make a deal.” MIN fans love Naz, but maybe Connelly still isn’t as impressed, and he could be in a sign-and-trade deal, if MIN and PHX can deal with their apron issues.

DeRozan is a good player, but he’s not a good value. If McDaniels was available for so little, Sacramento wouldn’t have a chance. They’d get outbid easily. And Phoenix would just take him instead. He’d solve a lot of problems if playing Beal/Booker combos.

Fair enough. I was originally looking at reid for DeRozan but I couldn't make the numbers work in the trade checker.

Why in the hell are the suns sending us mcdaniels for demar? Lol. We are lucky to get an expiring and 2nds for demar.

If so, that would be the 2nd time you’ve overvalued DeMar, IMO. Not by a ton this time but no winning team, or hopes of winning, is going to look at DD as the piece they need to get over the hump.

I’d argue is highest and best use at this point in his career would be as a six man/veteran leader off the bench. Which I guess is what Naz currently is and where he’s going to be valued. Except you get that punch in the form of a versatile big man versus an old wing.

Plus, Naz is much younger and being moved into a starting role rather than being moved to the bench. Their trade values are fairly far off IMO.

That’s not even factoring in what he means to the local fanbase and the example he sets for younger players.

The old bait and switch by a fan of a team soaking value

While OP is a miss.. Sac can easily add the value to have a place in this deal

Demar isn’t a good fit with Booker/Beal.. But maybe that doesn’t matter next season if Sac adds enough value. Phoenix can flip Demar for “…” say Demar and the 29th pick for Martin and Gafford. Or whatever the trade needs to be.

Just Sac owes a good amount of value. Which they should pay for a pretty ideal fitting piece.
