Bizarre.

Salary cap rules made it harder for them to keep their championship group together- the team had been getting worse on the margins for a couple of years now.

Teams are gonna have to adapt.

Booth won a ring with Connolly's roster and has been bad since deservedly canned. Malone is nuts. He's a very good coach. Memphis and Denver almost assuredly will not do as well with their next one

Is the thinking that this fires up the players going into the last week/play ins/playoffs? I just don't get the logic of the timing at all

I mean, I think it's clear from the entirety of his tenure that he's a well-above-replacement-level head coach. Whoever they bring in next will almost certainly be worse.

They beat their over under total every single season he was there until this season where the gm killed his roster.

Loved Malone but players clearly tuned him out, glad to see Addleman get a chance, always liked his father.

GM makes sense - though presumably could have waited until a playoff loss (GM can't really do anything now). Had been very poor keeping a roster around Jokic.

Coach is more awkward timing. Malone's been pretty good but has admittedly failed to play some guys who ended up decent elsewhere - that could have helped their depth issues.

Nuggets had him on the hot season 22 and 23. Nuggets front office don’t believe he is well above average.

They could do that with Darvin Ham as long as joker on the roster lol some exaggeration but don’t see Mike as the coach that takes a good team to a great team.

David Adelman is a great coach, and Calvin Booth deserved to be fired.

Mike Malone absolutely deserved better than the disaster of a roster that this franchise offered him.
