Bulls send JCarter/#12 to Utah
Utah sends Henricks/#19 to Chi, plus something else (not sure what)
Utah gets a 2nd lottery pick
Bulls roll the dice on Henricks (I assume he's projected to return) and take Fleming/Wolf/Sorber at #19, saving a bit of $
Not sure if Chi can get a future 1st out of them as well?

Re: Utah/Chi pick swap
Utah isn't doing that if you're adding a future 1st and the Bulls are better off using their and getting the BPA.
Chicago needs more talent and they're better off trying to get a slider at 12 than do this.

Re: Utah/Chi pick swap
That's the Hendricks that's played all of 3 games this year and 40 last year? And the Bulls move down 7 slots and out of the lottery to get him for Carter? Hendricks lines up behind Phillips on the depth chart. Even Ainge wouldn't make that offer

Re: Utah/Chi pick swap
I think both teams have reasons to say yes/no so it is at least interesting. If Utah has someone they've identified as being interested in I don't mind making this trade. However, I do like Hendricks and think his floor is a good rotation player with a desirable skillset (4/5 sized guy that can hit threes and provide some resistance at the rim) so I'd rather keep him AND pick in the 15-21 range than move up. For Chicago, they have to like Hendricks quite a bit and not be enamored with who is available at 12 relative to later. That seems plausible, but there are some interesting guys that will probably be available there, but not later (including if someone slips, and that has gone well for Chicago with Matas).
RE: getting another first in the deal - no, that seems like way too much. A second or two added if Utah really wants someone at that spot? Sure. That's never really a deal breaker IMO.

Re: Utah/Chi pick swap
I think the Bulls should try to move up in the Draft using the Blazers' pick/cap space... What Maluach could become is exactly what I think they need to continue moving forward with their restructuring plan without going under.
