Thunder/Kings

THUNDER
In:DDR
Out:Dieng/Caruso

I think this is the time for DDR to become an elite 6-man and go in search of a ring in the twilight of his career. Caruso is very valuable, but he's a repeat offshoot for the Thunder. They have Wallace/Dort who can play a similar role. It also gives them future flexibility, as the end of Caruso's contract could become bothersome after extending all of their elite prospects (DDR would have already expired by then).

KINGS
In:AC/Dieng
Out:DDR

Offense for defense...in my opinion, they have too many scorers for one ball...they get an elite defender and a prospect who gives them size and has hinted that he has the tools to be a good 3D prospect.

Work out a trade so Vuch and Caruso get to the kings so they can be bulls for the last 3 seasons 2.0

This is so bad for OKC. Are we trying to even things up in the NBA? If so, yes, this makes perfect sense for the Thunder.

DDR doesn't fit in OKC at all. I understand the desire to get OKC a stronger and more consistent second offensive option but this isn't it. Offensively DDR is extremely duplicative with SGA, but worse, and defensively he would provide an actual target for other teams to attack. No weak links in the defensive chain is a critical part of OKC's success. He is also old enough that any season could be the cliff face.

I don't think this can be saved.

If OKC can convince DeRozan to come off the bench then this is a good trade for both teams. But I doubt he is willing to do that.

I would rather have Caruso than Demar.

If the team didn’t want Caruso due to Dort, think they’d just trade him for an expiring and some asset not a player that has guaranteed money in 2026-2027.

Maybe would’ve been worth it for the playoff run if Demar agreed to the second unit thing, but now just see what happens and how Topic looks as the second unit playmaker.
