Little more to add. .
New reports indicate that the NOP is on a mission to transfer Zion... what destinations and offers can you imagine?

I don’t want to say Zion has more value than KD and get yelled at by anyone.. But I do think Phoenix should be calling NOP and offering KD’s trade return for Zion. And adding whatever minor value they have to add to get it done is worth it. Build a defense around those two and be relevant until one asks out.
I always stick with CLT being the highest bidder. Whether it is the 2025 first or they are able to keep it and offer the 2027 Dallas/2028 Miami firsts with a bit extra added.
Just feels like CLT should be the most willing to take that risk. Especially if they can keep the 2025 first out of it. Say Ball/Harper/Miller/Zion/Williams and no tax concerns until 2027-2028?
Outside CLT? I don’t know if they would but can you build a Randle+Det first+Dilly for Zion deal? get Naz back to playing center more..
Don’t love the fit with Sabonis, at all, but if you want to go full offense like Sac does.. SAC has a couple extra firsts and can match using DDR/Jonas and build a cheap bench..

Nets don't have to match salary, they have space. And Zion is a big name. And his contract is UNG which eliminates risk beyond acquisition cost.
BKN has four firsts in this draft plus upcoming owed ones in 27 or 28 from Philly and 29 from NYK. Not sure exactly where Zion's value would be nowadays, but feels like three or four of those should get it done.

BRK seems like easy choice. He draws attention and they see what other moves they make. If the other trades net them good players moving forward they cut Zion loose as soon as the can

If the Suns are deadset on not trading Booker, then this is a gamble they could take. Ages fit with Booker adn on paper he is the perfect PF to put next to Booker. OKC would be the team to make that happen if things do not work out for them in the playoffs

Are the Pels trying to win next year or rebuild? If they wanna win then OG would be fine although they still have Herb in that role kinda

The fit, the need, everything (even the injury history lol) fits Charlotte so well. I don't think they go that route if they win Flagg, but I do think they should go that route if they end up anywhere else. Charlotte has lacked an inside presence for years. Their strengths are all finesse, length, perimeter play and a paint presence like Zion just helps unlock a lot of what I think they want to do. Does he fit well next to Mark Williams though? It might take Mark to get Zion too though. Either way, not something I'd worry about because adding Zion to a LaMelo/Miller core would instantly make them relevant. Then it would be a matter of keeping them all on the court at least 60+ games.

Knicks dont have enough picks to get this done. Pel's are owed a lot more
You'd have to shop OG on the open market, and i dont think he goes for much on his contract.

Charlotte needs the interior scoring, badly
he's not my first target due to injuries but I'd be thrilled to get him depending on the price.

I definitely keep Mark in a Zion trade (unless he's like the centerpiece of the trade package), and just stagger their minutes. Neither has been a particularly big minute guy anyway, both will take rest days, so realistically the time they'll spend on the court together will be fairly minimal. Even if they both play about 28-30 mpg next season and actually stay healthy, you're looking at like 8 minutes a game together.

If Utah doesn't get Flagg I'll predict we trade for Zion. I'm ambivalent about it - I'd understand the logic but I don't have a ton of faith in him.

I agree on the Booker-Dunn-Zion pathway for the Suns

Yeah, I don’t think Dallas does it for Nike/defense reasons. But I do think AD/Zion could work when they’re both healthy. And Lively can be added in to all of that.
The defensive identity gets thrown out, but I think Lively, AD, Zion, Naji, Christie, Sexton, Kyrie would be a really tough out for a few playoff runs pretending everyone can be healthy at right time..
