What I hated for Sac under Vivek:

Malone before Pete D.
Karl before Vlade.
Walton before McNair.

Same mistake three times in a row. Pick the GM and let them pick the coach.

Here’s what I’m going to hate this time, if Vivek allows Christie to be let go. Doug is the guy. Rebuild. Let him lead. That’s the path.

Find a GM who wants defense and to rebuild and go for it with Doug at the helm. This doesn’t mean 3-5 years of terrible. Sac has a foundation and valuable assets, this could be fairly quick.

First words out of Sac sound like Vivek is backing Doug.

While Vivek has been terrible at the GM level his coaching instincts, Malone/Christie, aren’t bad. FYI- it’s known in Sac that Vivek has wanted Doug as Coach since Walton (a Vlade guy).
