HOU/NO/SAC

Post#1 » by spankz141 » Thu Apr 17, 2025 5:01 pm

Houston In: Demar DeRozen, Trey Murphy and Kelly Olynyk

New Orleans In: Domantas Sabonis, Jalen Green and Keegan Murray

Sacramento In: Zion Williamson, Cam Whitmore, Jock Landale and HOU 2025 1st (lottery pick)

Rockets get scorer who can get their own shot down the stretch, a two guard who can also get buckets and knock down three point shots and a backup C for more depth.

New Orleans retools with cornerstone players in Sabonis and Green to pair with Murray and McCollum and add a young shooter in Murrary

Sacramento speeds up this rebuild by picking up a potential Top 10 pick in this year's draft, a young player with All Star Potential and Team Friendly Contract and a young guard who also has potential.

Green and Sabonis as cornerstones is even more depressing than Zion only playing half a season every year. Sabonis as your 3rd best player is fine, but as your best player then you are going no where. I doubt NOP is trading Murphy unless a clear overpayment too, which I don't have this as. If NOP wants to move off Zion then just trade him for picks and tank next year with no Murray and look to make some moves in 2026 when CJ contract falls off the books and Murray is hopefully back healthy.

No from sac.

I'd love to find a way to get Murphy using sabonis.

Or even a trade around sabonis for zion. Id consider that risk. But the rest of the trade doesn't work.

I am not sure whey Houston is in this deal?

Trey Murphy is a nice player, but not really a need for Houston.
