Denver trade: Nnaji, Saric, fillers, 2031 top 4 protected 1st
Chicago trade: Smith, Dosunmu
Why for Denver: mortgage future to get jokic a real bench
Why for chicago: embrace the tank and get a lightly protected 1st for their vets

Re: Denver - Chicago
It would cost Denver a 1st just to get off Nnaji!

Re: Denver - Chicago
Denver can't trade their 2031 1st because their 2029 1st is protected and could roll over to 2030. They may be the first team to trade a 2032 1st, though.

Nah they can trade it but phrase it as 2 yrs after 2029 1st conveys. Been doing this for all their picks owed to orlando/okc/okc even though all have protections

It would have to be a fully unprotected pick for Chicago to have enough upside to consider this. It could be conditional on the 2029 pick conveying - moving to a 2032 1st if the 2029 1st is delayed but unprotected in whichever year.

I agree with this-Jokic will not be an MVP guy in 2031 probably, so this pick could be very valuable. Smith and Ayo are VERY good bench pieces

Re: Denver - Chicago
What's better for the Bulls two solid players off the bench or your unknown filler, there are Bulls fans who want Karnasovas fired right F'n now, are you waiting for the yet to be hired guy to make a pick 6 years down the road? Why in the heck would the Bulls want a backup PF to Matas even at a lower price when they have Patrick Williams who had his worst season and was still better than Nnaji by almost double in every category? Saric really, is it 2019?

Re: Denver - Chicago
Problem with determining Nnaji's value is simple - Malone set him to fail with the way he used to play him. Some said it was by design because Nnaji (with Pickett) was "Booth's player". Nnaji can't play as C because he is terrible defensive rebounder, and can't play in pnr as roller due to his inabillity to finish through contact and find shooters in corners in short roll. So now, Nuggets need to attach pick to get rid of him.
To buildt his trade value Nuggets need to play him the right way. As PF. Because he is swichable, can defend in space, protect the rim, collect stocks, be really good defender with his effort... On O as strech 4 he shoot 40% or better from 3 in his first 2 seasons, can cut and is great offensive rebounder. In short stint Malone used him the right way in february (12 games) in 20 minutes he averaged 7/3.8/0.6 with 1.5 blocks in 20 minutes shooting 59%/43%/64% . And if they play him the right way he might end as being exectly the player they need. Just think of this
Jokic/AG ON in 1.119 minutes + 13.63
Jokic/Watson ON in 899 minutes + 6.97
Jokic/Nnaji ON in 244 minutes + 15.14
There is also one interesting thing with Smith. He always has good numbers, I like him for that, but this is his 3rd team in 6 seasons. In Chicago's play- inn loss to Miami he played 4 minutes. Is he injured or something?
