OKC-Chi

Now that OKC gets the 15th pick, I think this makes even more sense. Hopefully they add the Sixer pick too. This moves saves them $ and adds another future pick.

Chi needs talent, and I like Matas at the 3 long term.

Dieng into one of the Bulls' TPE plus the Port pick. OKC can send a 2nd or two as well

Bulls go with this lineup
White/Ayo/Carter
Giddey/Ball/Terry
Matas/Huerter/Phillips
Dieng/PWill/
Vuc/Collins/Smith
Plus the #11 pick-Egor or Newell?

Or the Bulls trade White and hope for a higher pick next year

I think this is a considerable overpay, Dieng is buried in the Thunder's rotation, .. Bulls should not give up a probable decent first round pick... absorbing his salary and a couple of SRP I think would be a fairer price, perhaps a straight trade for J. Smith..?

You are a bigger fan of Dieng than anyone of us left.

If OKC thinks he’s no longer worth any effort or playing time next season, just send us a fake second .
If we are somewhat vested still probably worth a late second.

He doesn’t have any value to help us move places in the first round. He could still be something but it’s not going be at OKC .

Yeah I like Dieng’s potential still but I can’t imagine a team would do more than absorb him and maybe kick back a 2nd.

OK, maybe I am way off then. Chi should definitely roll the dice. The kid has talent-it's just that OKC is stacked and contending. Bulls need to take some chances-Giddey paid off. Plus, I want Matas as a big 3 and for the Bulls to play with more size

I love the idea for Chicago. Dieng has a lot of physical tools that would make him a good fit in theory with Josh and Matas, especially if you just want to get out and run.

OKC has 15 guys under contract already for next year and two draft picks this year at the moment. So offloading Dieng doesnt seem out of the realm. Especially if OKC knows they won’t give him run in a contract year.

You seem to just adore potential for players on other teams despite there being no evidence.

in 3 seasons Dieng most games played 39 as a rookie, most mpg 14 as a rookie, most ppg 4,9 as a rookie, BUT you se him waling into the UC and being a starter on day ONE, on what kind of high?

The price is off, but the mindset is correct. The Bulls played Dalen Terry, Patrick Williams, and THT in a postseason game. Not sure Dieng could be any worse than these 3. If OKC is willing to give us Dieng in a salary dump, I'm all for it.

I think Dieng is a nice reclamation project for a team like CHI.

But the cost will be MUCH lower than the PDX FRP. Maybe 2 future SRP, hell even 1 future SRP.

Take away the FRP (add an future 2nd maybe) and it feels like something OKC might do to a) save some $, b) clear a roster spot for more incoming rookies, c) do right by Dieng. I’m not sure if Dieng actually has real potential but he hasn’t really gotten an opportunity in OKC to show what he can do. They should know after 3 years if there are plans for him to enter the rotation next year but if not it would be better for both parties to move on

I think OKC is just too good and deep, Dieng probably needs time to develop, and Chi's in no hurry

Another option-#15/#25/Dieng to Chi for #11? Maybe Chi here has to throw in the Port pick?

I think this is the biggest question for us.

I think it’s more likely OKC use #15 to trade for a future first round pick.

But if I can move up from 15/25/dieng (ie second round pick worth) to 11, I would be very very happy.

Even if they are in the same tier I would be able to choose earlier the one player I want in that range .

I’d love to get into that range for Asa Newell

Fun fact if we did that on draft night it would put us in the tax for end of the financial year, but it would only cost 198k!

Presume waiving THT

OP you can just ask nicely and OKC will salary dump Dieng on you before they have to waive him.
