Random bad idea, Dallas/Brooklyn/Chicago

Post#1 » by jayjaysee » Sat Apr 19, 2025 10:10 pm

I think this is a Presti deal, but Brooklyn seems the right team with having too many “okay” picks this year? I think 36 should be added, but trying without it..

Brooklyn: 26, 27
Brooklyn: 2029 LAL first (top 6 protected, roll to Dallas 2030 top 6 protected)

Brooklyn delays assets they should be delaying.

Chicago; Ayo and 44
Chicago: 26, Hardy, Prosper

Chicago gets a first and a low end forward prospect for Ayo?

Dallas: Hardy, Prosper, 2029 LAL first (top 6 protected, roll to Dallas 2030 top 6 protected)
Dallas: Ayo, 27, and 44

Dallas gets a guard that will help a bit without Kyrie, but also can play with him. Lose a lot of the upside of the LAL pick, but get some cheap depth rookie contracts to help fill bench under first apron..

It's a bad idea for the Bulls who aren't tanking. If they were selling off and aiming for a top 5 pick in 2026 this would be the move.

Ayo can play, can they expect him to become a more consistent and willing shooter, you think DAL thinks so.

The Bulls have their lottery pick back #11 or #12, barring a miracle. They have 14 players under contract for next year, they're keeping their lottery pick and now they get some potential at #26. But with Ayo out and Hardy and Prosper in they end up with 17 guaranteed contracts. That means they can't resign Tre Jones and need to buy out or just give away Jevon Carter and Dalen Terry. And since they are trying to win they sure don't have minutes for Hardy and Prosper to get in games and show that they can do anything.

bad and no way

It's good for DAL as stated. I can see the upside for BRK to not try and make 4 FRP's this year and build an inventory down the road

Yeah, didn’t advertise Hardy or Prosper as the value. The prospect is the value.

Spotrac has Chicago at 12 players? Not sure who You have that Spotrac doesn’t? Giddey, Tre Jones, 12th puts them at 15.

And if Chicago really runs back 14 of the players from this years squad, you all should be really unhappy.

But I guess you could send the two Mavs to Brooklyn or Washington.. they’re really not a problem. Just bad-meh young players. Chicago has their own, I get it.
