Chi-Orl-Port
Not sure on this one, but here we go
Chi sends Vuc, PWill, #12 and Port pick back to Blazers
Chi gets Ayton, Howard, #16
Orl sends #16 and Jett Howard to Chi, and Cole Anthony to Blazers
Orl gets Simons
Port sends Ayton to Chi and Simons to Orl
Port gets #12, their pick back, Vuc, CAnthony, PWill
Chi is not going to tank, so they get better on defense with Ayton and drop PWill's terrible deal, and tries Howard. At #16 they pick Fleming, Egor, Wolf or Newell if he drops
Orl gets a much needed scorer
Port lets Vuc mentor Clingan, gets their pick back and adds the #12. They move forward with Scoot/Sharpe in the backcourt and have two late lotto picks for young depth

Magic can’t do it, financially it doesn’t work by a measly $214k

Re: Chi-Orl-Port
PORT likes adding #12, getting their pick back isn't nearly as good as when the Bulls got their pick back. I doubt they feel they need Vucevic as a $21M mentor for Clingon, they could hire 10 assistant coaches for him around the clock. They have a lot of players under contract and increase that number by 1 with the players and another with the pick. If they are willing to buy out and release players they should probably do that before considering this trade.
The Bulls seem to have been very happy getting their so I don't see moving down as being on their to do list. Do they really want to put so much money into Ayton when they're in good shape with an expiring Collins who could resign for less and a young low cost Smith. They sure don't need to add another guard in Howard. Doing this they have to be look at playing Smith at the 4 and if that's a good idea in 2025-26 why didn't they try it this past year? They probably need to do that because despite the outright hatred some have for Patrick Williams he still averages 25 minutes. He also plays the defense you talk about with Ayton does Billy see that in Phillips and Terry to step up on both ends to take those minutes?
It shuffles things around but I think ORL could have managed to add Zach Lavine in the past year and a half for a similar return but didn't.

Re: Chi-Orl-Port
Patrick Williams has a pretty crappy contract. 5 more years at $18 million per seems like a burden.
For Portland, instead I'd rather:
- trade down with the Bulls and get the future first back with no players involved
- deal directly with Orlando, something like Simons for Issac and 16 or Simons for KCP, 16 and 24
- keep Ayton and see what he can do in a contract year. He seemed very motivated and engaged for a few weeks prior to his injury. If that inspired play doesn't continue into the new season let him expire or trade him

How about this modification to make it a legal trade?
Chi sends Vuc, PWill, Huerter, #12 and Port pick back to Blazers
Chi gets Ayton, KCP, #16
Orl sends #16 and KCP to Chi, and Gary Harris to Blazers
Orl gets Simons
Port sends Ayton to Chi and Simons to Orl
Port gets #12, their pick back, Vuc, PWill, Huerter, and Gary Harris (CUT)

IMO, subbing in KCP for Cole/Jett takes the frp from #16 to the DEN pick at #25...KCP would be really good with Giddey and Coby.

do not think magic would pay anything close to any of the 2

Portland can't say yes to this deal
due to uncontrollable cackling throughout the front office.

Simmons for KCP and 1 of the 1sts is most I’d offer
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

Williams have 4 more yeras left, not 5.
trading back 2 spots should cost less than the future 1st back.. portland owes some minor value back the other way

Re: Chi-Orl-Port
I’m ok with it, or simplifying it to just the Blazers/Magic.
