------------------------------

BOS GETS: Malik Monk
BOS GIVES: Jrue Holiday & #28
WHY FOR BOS? The Celtics shed $16.4 mil in payroll next year which gives them huge tax savings while at the same time still getting a productive guard who is just entering his prime (27 years old) who is locked up for the next few years (allowing them to extend their window). Meanwhile, Holiday will be 35 years old at the start of next season.

PG - Monk / Pritchard / Davison
SG - White / Scheierman
SF - Brown / Hauser
PF - Tatum / Walsh
C - Porzingis / Tillman / Queta

------------------------------

DAL GETS: DeMar DeRozan & Terrence Davis
DAL GIVES: Daniel Gafford & Caleb Martin
WHY FOR DAL? The Mavs add another legit go-to scorer on the wing to go along with Irving and Davis. They’d still have a ton of size, length, and defense in the starting lineup with a frontcourt of Washington, Davis, & Lively (not to mention Marshall off the bench), but then they’d have the luxury of DeRozan leading the bench unit and providing steady offense for when Irving and/or Davis rest.

PG - Irving / Williams
SG - Thompson / Christie / Davis
SF - Washington / DeRozan / Hardy
PF - Davis / Marshall / Prosper
C - Lively / Powell

------------------------------

MEM GETS: Jonas Valanciunas, Caleb Martin, #28, 2026 SAC 1st (Unprotected), 2027 SAS 1st (Unprotected), & 2031 MIN 1st (Unprotected)
MEM GIVES: Jaren Jackson Jr.
WHY FOR MEM? The Grizzlies avoid having to pay Jackson Jr a max (or super max if he becomes eligible) while picking up 4 1st round picks scattered over the next 7 drafts to pickup a lot of cheap, young talent.

PG - Morant / Pippen
SG - Bane / Kennard / Konchar
SF - Wells / Williams / Martin
PF - Aldama / Jackson / Clarke
C - Edey / Valanciunas / Huff

------------------------------

SAC GETS: Jrue Holiday, Jaren Jackson Jr., & Daniel Gafford
SAC GIVES: DeMar DeRozan, Malik Monk, Jonas Valanciunas, Terrence Davis, 2026 SAC 1st (Unprotected), 2027 SAS 1st (Unprotected), & 2031 MIN 1st (Unprotected)
WHY FOR SAC? Holiday gives them a legit PG to help run the offense while also being able to defend at an elite level, space the floor, and provide some scoring. He’ll also be a good mentor for Carter and Ellis. Jackson Jr. is quite possibly the best fit next to Sabonis and he'll only be 26 at the start of next season. Gafford is an upgrade at backup C and gives them a rim protector, rebounder, and lob threat to throw out there when Sabonis is resting. Although, they are sending out 3 1sts, they Kings will still have their 2027-2032 1st round picks in tact in case they need to make another trade or move towards a rebuild.

PG - Holiday / Carter
SG - LaVine / Ellis
SF - Murray
PF - Jackson Jr.
C - Sabonis / Gafford / Powell

Memphis is only getting one good asset (MIN 1st). Bad trade for us. And Sacramento is getting too much.

Sacramento does not have the assets to trade for Jaren.

The Grizz are not trading Jaren but if we were we would need his replacement, one prime pick asset and additional draft compensation. This trade fails on the first two fronts no JJJ replacement and blah picks.

What do you think the Grizzlies will do with him only having 1 year left on his deal? Are they locking into a Morant, Bane, & Jackson Jr. core? Do you think they’ll trade Morant or Bane instead?

Also, I thought the Grizzlies were really high on Aldama and would view him as that PF replacement. What’s your thoughts on that?

All it takes is an injury to make any of these unprotected picks valuable (or in the case of the Kings pick, another dysfunctional season next year).

Would you prefer the SAC pick to be further out? For instance, if it was a 2028 SAC 1st (Unprotected) instead of a 2026 SAC 1st (Unprotected) does that change the equation in your mind?

If we need to move one it should be Des. I don’t know a Grizzly fan that wants to start Santi, personally I want him off this team.
