Lakers trade: Reaves/Rui/Kieber/Knecht/1st
Brooklyn trades: Claxton/Cam Johnson

Lakers get: Claxton/Cam Johnson
Brooklyn gets: Reaves/Rui/Kieber/Knecht/1st

Lakers basically trade most of their assets for Claxton a lob threat for Luka and Cam Johnson a 3&D wing. This is probably the best they can do given their limited assets.

Luka
DFS
Cam
LeBron
Claxton

That team should contend next year. A lot of length and defense on the wings and they can all guard different positions.

Brooklyn gets Reaves/Rui/Knecht and a 1st. Not a bad return for a rebuilding team.

Who says no?

Reaves is the best player here by a large margin. Not sure why the Lakers are paying Knecht/1st?

Hell, even Rui is a proven playoff provider.

Going from Rui to Cam costs maybe a low-end 1st? Call it Knecht.

Then it's Reaves/1st/Filler for Claxton?

Or if it's Reaves for Cam, I wouldn't trade Rui+1st for Claxton.

I wouldn't assign first round value to Knecht. Early second maybe. Did nothing special, old for a rookie and a year of depreciation on the vehicle, considering he was also a mid to late first in a weak draft to begin with.
