What will be Kuminga's 2025-26 salary?
Which team will he be playing for?

Whatever the max salary he can get that can be legally matched with Smith/Dosunmu. Bulls can't help themselves and take a chance on the talent and can certainly give him plenty of touches. Warriors bring in a couple of affordable rotation players.

Only way Bulls get Kuminga is if Pat Williams is involved.

If he gets his ft% back to 75% like it was a year ago he is worth 11-12 mil per year. If he continues to shoot 67% like he did this year, he is not good enough to be in a rotation and is worth like 3-4 mil per max.
Just coming off a career low true shooting percentage of .535 you have to ask what is his nba skill? He is not a great reabounder, not a great or maybe even good passer, 1.2 steals and 0.7 blk per 36 doesn't really jump off the page.
He is a play finisher who is young and has potential. He is inconsistent as most young players are. This kind of player isn't hard to find. The nba is full of these type of guys. If he can not shoot 70% from the ft line he will not be in the league much longer.

I would LOVE PWill/Port pick for Kuminga, but no way GS does this
Vuc? He'd fit with DGreen up front, and is expiring

$20M per year.
$80M/4 years sounds fair value for him and whichever team that gets him taking into consideration his flaws and his untapped potential.

KCP makes $22m…Id love ORL to SnT for Kuminga on same salary (x3 years?)…ORL tried for years to convince themselves that Aaron Gordon was the next Paul George…then DEN used him perfectly in a role that suits his strengths. I’d like ORL to be on the other side of the equation with Kuminga. Coach Mosely has that ‘Dad’ thing and could maybe really click with JK and put his immense physical gifts to work.
Not knocking GSW/ Kerr…there just doesn’t seem to be a place for JK in that movement shooting offense. I’d love to see ORL rebuild him as their own Gordon/Rodman/Blake/Dominique hybrid…there’s so much length and positional versatility that they’d find plenty of minutes for him.

Would rather just let JK walk and use the cap savings to bring in guys that can actually contribute than eat Pat Williams' deal for a fake 1st.
Vuc isn't as interesting as Ayo/Smith, but depending on who's out there with the MLE and vet min I might be able to be talked into it.

I think UTA could facilitate this if GSW wanted one of UTA expiring vets.. John Collins maybe? UTA probably asks for some type of pick from gsw as well or a better pick than the Portland one.

I think that value would have to come from Chicago (and frankly, they're the ones getting real value here getting off PW's awful contract, even if you don't assign any value to JK). GS isn't giving up a first for John Collins.

I'd pass on sending Collins out for Williams unless the picks are unprotected. Four years and $72 million—the 10th worst contract in the league as voted by this board—is a lot to flush down the toilet.

Kuminga sucks and is always hurt. Kerr won’t even play him in the playoffs. He turned down 5/150. Kid is delusional and he still can’t shoot.
Dubs won’t be getting anything for him and he won’t be getting paid. They both missed their window of opportunity.

Warrior’s system isn’t made for everyone. Schroeder didn’t do well with them, got traded to Detroit and played great. Maybe JK just needs a change in scenery.
Seeems like someone would use the full MLE on him, so that’s the floor.

Yeah I think more than anything JK needs a place where he can do the things that he's good at (running the floor, driving) and get a little leash to play through mistakes. He's not just a great fit for Kerr's system, which emphasizes passing and BBIQ over athleticism and 1v1 ability.

Schroder shot 51% TS with Detroit.. he did better in detroit but pretty far from great

I think someone offers him the full MLE. So that's about 4 years $66M.

Tough fall off for a guy who (reportedly) turned down 5/150 from GSW last offseason

I figure MLE money of around $15M/yr is the floor and $20M/yr or so is the highest. BYC issues will complicate any S&T deal, but that salary's low enough to make something work.
BK could just try and sign him outright. Though they'd have to make a decision - is it better to get Kuminga at $18M/yr and give up a secondary asset to GSW in a S&T deal or is it better to get Kuminga at $24M/yr and figure GS won't match that much of a contract? I think they'll go for the smaller contract as I don't think GS will be asking for that much of an asset (very late 1st or good 2nds).

I agree his shooting wasn’t off the charts, but he could run an offense and play solid D. Certainly was a solid pickup for the Pistons.

I think he is an MLE player based on potential and not play. I don't see 20 million a year, more like 12-18.
