Massive 3 teamer Lakers/Bucks/Magic

Post#1 » by Airgordon00 » Fri May 9, 2025 10:22 pm

Lakers in: Giannis Antetokounpo, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Wendell Carter Jr.

Bucks in: Franz Wagner, Mo Wagner, Rui Hachimura, Maxi Kleber, 16th pick, 25th pick, magic 2027 unprotected first and 3 2nd picks from the magic.

Magic in: Luka Doncic, Bobby Portis, Gabe Vincent, Pat connaughton.

Lakers swap superstars while building a more balanced squad with proven defenders. They could role out LeBron, Reaves, KCP, Giannis and Dell which could compete with anyone.

Bucks get a very underrated Franz Wagner, who the fans will love and they get his big brother Mo who is a great role player off the bench. They get multiple picks and can stay in contention while not owning their own picks.

Magic go get Mosley his boy Luka and get the offensive superstar that has been missing since Tmac. Luka and Paolo will be one of the best Duos in the league. Plus they get some solid vets to add to the bench.

Thoughts?

I mean I know the AD trade happened, but the difference between Luka and Franz is more than this. A lot more than this. Magic stealing so much value. Why wouldn't the Bucks just take Luka?

I agree, Bucks would just take Luka and kick the can down the road at least a year before he demanded a trade or the Bucks found a way to turn it around.

I don't understand why the Lakers would trade Luka for Giannis. It doesn't fix their roster issues.

no offense, but i hate when trades are presented like this.

so its Orlando trades: Franz, WCJ, KCP, Mo Wagner, two 1st round picks this year, unprotected 1st in two years and three 2nds
Orlando receives: Luka, Portis (assuming he opts in), Vincent, Connaughton

So Orlando looks like

Vincent/Anthony
Suggs/Black/Howard
Doncic/Da Silva/Howard
Paolo/Portis/Isaac
Goga/Portis

with limited picks. Unless Luka somehow dedicates himself to staying in shape and playing defense, I actually would not do this. That team makes the playoffs, but is either a 1st or 2nd round exit

I mean I shouldn't say I can't believe it because I know we all love our guys, but no chance you turn down Franz for Luka unless Luka specifically tells you no chance I'm re-signing, but that seems super unlikely considering his close relationship with Moseley.

But its always amusing to read nope not giving up this player nowhere near as good as Giannis for Giannis, not giving up Wagner and a couple picks for Luka Doncic.

I mean we can say this, but if your GM had the opportunity and turned it down.....

I am assuming this is a little in response to me. Luka is a great offensive player. But he has shown he doesnt care as much about basketball anymore. doesnt even try on defense and eats too much in the offseason. I mean, if you want a name player and perennially out before the conference finals, okay. But that team doesnt win much and a good chance Luka leaves.

So lets see Luka has been to the conference Finals. And the Finals. But the first round Magic are too good for that. I mean seriously? You are buying the Niko Harrison narrative? Really?

One of the most competitive dudes in the world suddenly doesn't care? A dude who has more than held his own defensively in the playoffs over and over doesn't even try?

Oh my. Niko's PR which is the worst in NBA history worked on one dude I guess.

at least dallas got a 32 yr old that has played 65 games once in last 7 seasons for luka...but magic need to pay more even if luka asks for trade

or maybe i should say at least lakers had to give up?

we just watched him come into the season heaviest he has been. and lets face it, he has only been getting bigger (fatter) since entering the NBA. And his defense is atrocious. If he isnt trying next to Lebron, he wont try in Orlando. And no, he didnt hold his own in the playoffs this year.

just my opinion. i dont work in basketball.
