-Suns add two firsts, a solid young player, a solid center and don't take on bad long-term money. Even the expiring contracts could have a role there.

-Pistons consolidate to a forward that could be a nice fit with their core without losing anything they couldn't replace in a follow-up move.

-Miami shakes things up by essentially upgrading from Butler to KD and resetting around KD/Bam/Herro. Sasser could develop nicely in Miami too.

Pass from Detroit. Stewart plays a huge role and has laid the foundation culturally.

Wiggins would take minutes from Ausar & Holland and I’d rather invest in their development.

Wrong direction for the Pistons.

I like the idea of moving Fontecchio and getting a better piece, but would prefer that being a PF

Hard NO from the Suns.

I don't think Detroit is needed, right? Suns want to win now and could use Wiggins who I'd rather have than Stewart.

Miami could put Duncan Robinson in the deal instead of Terry Rozier, the Suns could wave him, and they'd get $10 million in instant savings.

That being said, I hate the idea of KD in Miami and so no need to give up an unprotected pick in 2030 for a 37 year old who has ruined every team he's been on since Golden State.

It's been discussed by the Heat reporters that Riley isn't willing to give up a full complement of our picks for him. I don't see that pick being on the table.

Probably have to take out the unprotected pick, but other than that, looks good.

MIN seemed like the other candidate, and at the trade deadline apparently made an offer. However, the Wolves finally gelled, finishing the season 17-4, avoiding the play in, and surprisingly look like they have the easiest path to another Conference Finals. New ownership is probably less likely to break up the team, especially with Randall playing so well, and the higher payroll presents complicated apron issues anyway.

HOU seemed like another KD destination, but appears to be out on Kevin Durant, according to Steinline, and the influx of teams willing to trade their stars (Giannis, Zion, Trae Young) may thin the pool of other buyers.

Players trade values routinely rise and fall. As much as I admire Kevin Durant, I think a lot of circumstances outside his control have reduced his trade value since the deadline.

No way this is the best offer the Suns get, I'd beat this for the Spurs even when I've repeatedly hated the idea of trading for KD, but this is a gift.

You're more than welcome to trade him anywhere else. The most I'd add to this is Jacquez because, and I cannot stress this enough, HE'S 37 AND HAS RUINED EVERY TEAM HE'S BEEN ON SINCE GOLDEN STATE. The only other thing I'm going to dispute is Jovic. He's actually shown quite a bit

But to add, this trade feels very much on par with the Miami got for Butler. I think it's at least close to what you'll get for him

KD for Rozier who was one of the worst players in the entire league and Duncan (McDermott) Robinson. The 20th pick in the draft is meh. The Suns already have #29 and #52 in this draft.

And Jovic...wow.

That's awful value. It's barely a positive value package and doesn't really address a single need the Suns have.

That's fine. You can put that "nice" package on the market and try to get another All-Star not named KD lol.

The Heat's return for Butler had more to do with ridding themselves of a ticking time bomb than actual value, it was basically get him out of Miami for whatever you can get, with the guy actively tanking your other options (like the Grizzlies, who could have given you a better return). In this case KD might have a word but he is a professional, he won't pull a Butler / Harden kind of stunt.

Personally, I respect your right not to want KD, but I feel the Heat FO would go beyond this. Not a lot, but enough. But ultimately, what puts a floor into the return for any Durant trade, is that any Rockets return (even a low ball one) beats this, like Brooks + filler + some cap relief + a couple picks (bad ones, including SRPs). That works better, and makes the Rockets instantly WCF candidates. They should do that instantly. Same goes for TWolves. So no team would get away with offering less than that, it's the bare minimum Suns would get.
