CWhite to Minny

Assuming Minny doesn't make the Finals, and they want scoring help for Edwards

White for Conley (Bulls buyout), Shannon, #17

White would get A TON of open looks off Edwards and can create his own shot

Bulls get a a look at Shannon, and get Berringer, Sorber, Wolf or Fleming at #17
If Minny loves Shannon, maybe Minott (I don't know much about him, but I read he has talent)

Bulls should take a step back, and build around Giddy/Matas/Cap Space/picks.
Ball/Ayo/JCarter
Giddey/Huerter/Shannon
Matas/Huerter/Terry
Newell (#12)/PWill/Phillips
Vuc/Collins/Smith
Plus a young big at #17

Minnesota should do this making the finals or not. I know the fans believe some sort of promise was made to Conley to never trade him and if true I guess they honor it, but they could use the juice and Dillingham doesn't seem ready.

This has at least two big problems. The cheap Bulls don't want to trade for $10M Conley to pay him to go away, it's not like they're desperate to get Coby out of town. Next is Shannon has barely played so he's the equivalent of a FRP from last year so even you've got him third string deep on the bench not developing. Yes they get a near lottery pick, not even Newell is going to walk in at #12 and start. Then they've sent out one player and added two, they didn't have spare roster spots before and now it's worse. Even if they think Tre Jones is worth keeping, now there's no money or room for him. If the plan remains the same to trade Vucevic, they likely get at least 2 guys back for him to get to $21M, further expanding the roster. You can't just make Carter and Terry disappear

You chart gives them a very deep team that can't ever play the last 5 guys on the bench

Dillingham had some flashes showing what he could and likely will become but I, like you, believe that to be in the future.

The Bulls can simply look to move Vuc/Huerter. Not sure why this is a hold-up for you.

Next year would be a development year, focusing on Giddey/Matas/Newell, plus the other young kids. We'd have A TON of cap space in 2026 to play with, and a top 10 pick

I like Coby, but he's a third option miscast as a 1st option in Chi

Coby White is an expiring, and MIN would likely pay a lot of luxury tax to keep him. They need to hang onto their cheap talent, and will hope Dillingham will grow into some more of that “Coby White, scoring option” role.

I’m not sure which direction Tim Connelly is going next season, or what ownership will do. I’d like to believe that they will pay lux taxes and won’t want to break up a core that will likely make the Conference Finals two straight years. But I think if they make a trade for a new talented player, they will need to send out a guy that was going to use up a lot of payroll himself.

I think both teams decline.

The Wolves are going to need to pick who to pay going forward, and I don't see White making the cut. This should be a no for Minnesota. The Wolves likely go with Dillingham/Shannon to fill any open minutes.

Don't think Bulls do this, and Wolves probably can't either, considering White needs to get paid soon too
