Update Trade Proposal: Mavs add additional 1st and Max Christie goes to Memphis.

Grizzlies decide to go after KD one last time. Hopefully with KD blessing and him agreeing to sign a team friendly extension. Giving the Grizz a Big 3 of Ja/KD/JJJ.

Grizz Trade: Desmond Bane/Brandon Clarke/John Konchar/Jay Huff/26/28/30 1st
Grizz Receive: Kevin Durant/Naji Marshall/Max Christie

Mavericks after getting 1 pick Cooper Flagg decide to move off role players for guard with playmaking ability who can also play off ball. Bane is the centerpiece for them making them a bit more dynamic now and later.

Mavericks Trade: PJ Washington/Daniel Gafford/Naji Marshall/Max Christie/29 1st Lakers
Mavericks Receive: Desmond Bane/Nick Richards/Jay Huff


Suns get 3 1st with 2030 pick being the 2nd best of Suns/Wizards/Grizz pick. Also get three role players in PJ/Gafford/Clarke and the young role player in Max Christie.

Suns Trade: Kevin Durant and Nick Richards
Suns Receive: John Konchar/PJ Washington/Daniel Gafford/Brandon Clarke/26/28/30 1st/Lakers 29 1st.

Suns just cut out Mavs here. Sure Bane isnt a need and PJ/Gafford fit better, but Bane is just worth more than them. They either get Dallas to pony up more or re-route him to a team that will. I also dont have KD worth nearly that much

This is a nasty overpay by the Grizzlies. This is assigning way too value for a aging Kevin Durant who doesn't have as much impact on winning as he used to and needs a new contract. I think the Suns would actually have to pay to order to swap KD into Desmond Bane. Also I think the Mavericks moving up to the Cooper Flagg pick makes a Desmond Bane trade almost impossible for them now. He's not worth anything close to Cooper Flagg, but he's worth more than anything else that the Mavericks can offer.

This is a crazy overpay. I wouldn't trade Bane for KD.
